How much gold you guys getting from quests in MOP?

Hey folks, as i'm about to hit the panda-land with my monk, i'm curious:

How much gold are you guys banking while leveling up? Is there a bigger increase in quest rewards compared to Cata?

I haven't been paying much attention, but it seems the quests give up to 10g, depending on their nature. However this is balanced by the fact that a lot of mobs sometimes drop some fancy greys that sell for 5-10g.

Edit: That's up to level 87, and I'm still questing in the Valley of the Four Winds, I suppose the higher zones have bigger gold prizes?

Quests in Jade Forest are giving nine-ish gold, and as Golden notes, you'll occasionally pick up a grey drop worth anywhere from 4 to 12 gold. I've found a piece of spirit money, an oddly-shaped bone (I asked in guild chat what I should do with it, and somebody suggested giving it to an oddly-shaped dog), and a stone heart (from a basilisk corpse).

I hadn't been paying attention to the rewards specifically, but I seem to have made over 2k so far after reaching halfway through 86.

I also found something sparkling in a cave in Krasarang Wilds.. Thinking it was part of the quest I was on, I went to pick it up. It turned out to be a vendor trash worth 100 gold! o.o So it's a really good idea to click anything clickable and truly explore every house and cave.

Lots of gold. Started at 50g. I'm already back up to 1k and I have only finished a small portion of the jade forest.

glad to hear it i'm excited to find those little things (like your 100g vendor trash golden) and those other "rare spawn items" ive heard about.

i was mainly curious if i would earn enough gold to buy the epic flying (280%) from quests alone. (seems like i would be able to )

If not from quests, a lot of the crafting materials are still expensive on the AH, so you may want to sell everything you get asap - once the prices settle down, it'll be easier to level professions. :3

I'm not sure how much is for quests since I've been selling ore, but I've made 9k since MoP's release. If you don't make enough gold off of the quest rewards, a gathering profession will be your friend.

Another idea would be to sell some of the rarer minipets you might have doubles of. I've sold two level 1 Nether Ray Frys so far for 1k each, and a level 5 Sprite Darter Hatchling for 10k.

yep that's another way to make some coin; made 40k between the two servers, one server has x-pet low, other server has x-pet high, buy low sell high, & of course selling my duplicate rares.

first 5.0.1 patch day i went through and deleted all my double pets since i figured i didnt need doubles . I didn't think that I could resell them or make them into pets to sell, but oh well.

I was able to make about 3500g in one hour of mining in Jade Forest (ghost iron was everywhere and I did not see one person to compete with at 3AM (helps that i play at weird hours)). I stumbled upon 2 Golden Lotus herb patches which helped alot too, and found a treasure thing from a mob that netted some Black Trillium.

I really like how they did things so far, quests are pretty fun, Pandas are awesome, music rocks, and gold seems to be flowing.

Now I just need to find a good way to grind out motes of harmony so I can make the first version of the Scribe-Staff Inscribed Tiger Staff or something.

I ended up with an extra 10k by the time I hit 90.

I've made over 30k since MoP hit - and I still have all those mats I've been stockpiling. The 30k came purely off quest rewards, drops (including the crafting material bags that sometimes drop off Pandaria rares) and minipets.

I bought one of those 2700g Yak mounts and before I knew it I was already up to that amount again.

I don't even worry about going to the AH in Org to sell things, since I just have been doing all my auctions on my mobile with that nifty app (that way I don't have to waste travel time to relist items etc)
