Quick Portent Quesiton-how much time to path?

How long does it take him to path? Lost his trail to damned phasing about 20 mins ago and he hasn't come back around. I am assuming he is already tamed then?

He takes about an hour or more to go from his spawn point to the turnaround and back again. I followed him exclusively last night and I can tell you two things. He leaves a track every 15 steps he takes but, sometimes they are completely invisible and under ground level. You can actually see the tooltip saying "dusty tracks" when you mouse over where the track should be even though there is no portion of the track visible. When it happens twice in a row, it makes it a lot harder to know where the next track will show. There are also a lot of partially visible tracks including some where just the edge shows. If you lose the track, it may not be due to phasing at all.

Pretty sure it was due to phasing, I was following the prints moved forward into the areas where the quests are phased and they disappeared.

A whole hour to go back and forth eh? Well I have time to eat dinner at least while I wait for him. I have the red but I want the blue dangit.
