Golden spiked dragon turtle
I just tamed a golden spiked dragon turtle, aka, elder seadragon. It sounds like a like thunderstorm when it walks! Loud turtle is loud. Anyone else have one? Does it do that? Do all the spiked dragon turtles?

Re: Golden spiked dragon turtle
Bloodtooth, Rankbite Ancients and Elder Shoreshell Snappers don't seem to (at least I don't remember them doing that from the ones I tamed). However, the Rankbite Ancients make a continuous grumbley, snorting sound and tame up to be smaller than the other turtles.Teigan wrote:I just tamed a golden spiked dragon turtle, aka, elder seadragon. Well, despite being listed as 87 here, I can't find an 87 Elder Shoreshell Snapper to test. Bloodtooth eludes me. And I can't try out the Rankbite Ancients yet. However, Krosh make the same thunderous noise as the Elder Seadragon >.< I named him Thunderfoot and put him away hoping they fix it to less overwhelmingly loud.

Krosh, the Green Spiked Dragon Turtle made those thundering sounds also when I tamed him. I released him shortly after because of that.

Re: Golden spiked dragon turtle
I can confirm that Bloodtooth does indeed sound like a box of pans falling down the stairs. I just assumed that it's all spiked dragonturtles, so I turned off the sound. I have the Elder Shoreshell tamed as well, so let me log in and try it out.

I haven't noticed any unusually loud sounds with Bloodtooth.

Re: Golden spiked dragon turtle
You're right, I'm sorry, I tamed an Elder Seadragon and assumed at the time that all spiked ones were loud, so I muted all of them and just forgot to retry.
Bloodtooth - quiet
Elder Shoreshell - quiet
No cacophony from either of them! ^_^

Its like corehounds, but louder, yeah. And I got Bloodtooth and he's quiet. And I hit 88, so I can test that other one out.

I can confirm the "Spiked Cammo" ones do not boom when they walk. They do grumble and vocalize though and they do seem small.

Re: Golden spiked dragon turtle
So, I've tested all the spiked dragon turtles now and my results match up with what you guys have seen.
Elder Seadragon (bronze/yellow): extremely loud stomping
Krosh (bluish-green): extremely loud stomping
Rankbite Ancient (gold/green): no stomping but vocalizes often. Tames 1/3 the size of others, smaller than non-spiked dragon turtles. Is endearingly tiny and grumpy
Elder Shoreshell Snapper (bronze/blue): silent
Bloodtooth (red/black): silent
