Which pets should I release?

I want to tame a few new skins but not sure who I should release. I was thinking Jadefang since he is a common skin now, any ideas?

Release the ones that are easier to get again if you decide later you want them back.

General, normal, not hard to reacquire pets are always first for me to abandon if there is something new I want.

I'd say release all your unnamed spirit beasts.

You have both Gondria/Magria, Ghostcrawler/Karkin, and as Gorman said, it looks like you've quite a few spirit beasts you've captured and don't seem to use too often. Food for thought!

You also might want to look at getting rid of one of the ones you've not gotten out at all as you've leveled. You have a bunch of them that are still 85. I would also suggest one of the Spirit Beasts or Challenging Tames. I could be wrong but it looks like you are collecting them just to collect them and don't actually use them?

Yeah you are right I don't use them. I have my favorite 3 or so. I always have Skoll and Krush on me at all times. I would use a worm or a chimera for aoe but lately I've left the other 3 slots open for playing around with the new pet families. The rest are usually stabled. I should release one of the challenge tame spiders(Kirix is a common skin now) and one of my cats. Not sure which cat though. I like both models but favored Skarr's model since WotLK when I first saw Blackmaw in The Storm Peaks. If I find the new white cat I could just replace both with that skin.

As for the Spirit Beasts I want to keep them as long as possible. I love the concept of them and that they heal me. I do have my favorites, Skoll was my first Spirit Beast, Karoma because I always wanted a ghost wolf, Ban'thalos because its such a unique model, the rest I don't use often but were a challenge to find.

I do feel like I am hoarding rares and not using them. Like the white Gorilla. I could get rid of Aotona or Madexx sicne both have the same ability. Tough choices I guess that's why I am asking. Common skins are so easy to replace because our pets now instantly level.

Aren't there two white gorillas now? One in STV and the other in Un'goro Crater?

There is one you can ditch... and won't have problems reclaiming again.

Oh good idea. Plus BM hunters are not limited to their pet to do a interrupt. We can now use Silencing Shot.

So far we got:

Jadefang - common skin now
One of the challenge tame spiders- I don't need more than one. I was thinking Deth since he was easy
one of the cats Skarr or Sambas
maybe some spirit beasts
Madexx or Aotona - same pvp ability
The white gorilla - BM no longer needs pet for interrupt

I already got rid of Kirix a while I go.

haha, I saw that wolf in your stables and instantly wondered why you hadn't gotten rid of it until I figured he was probably an oil worg ;D I do have to go ahead and put my .02c and agree to never give him up (insert Rick Astley here)

I agree on getting rid of some pets with the same special abilities, and remember you can choose pet class now !

I tamed Savage. He reminds me of a updated skin of King Bangalash. I could drop Sambas and Skarr now. Sambas is pretty much a mount and Skarr I could just go visit in Northend. Savage is just so unique atm. I really want more stable slots.
