I miss the Stable master call

I know that we now can have 5 pets with us at any time.. but i still miss the Stable master call. Mostly because i like switching my pets around so they all get a chance to get out and strech their legs.

I would really like if it they reimplemented this with lets say a 5 min cd.. it would not be to powerfull would it?

Lets say i wanted to give Survival/MM a shot then i would go into the dungeon as Survival/MM with BM as offspec. I have 5 pets with me, Wolf, cat, heyna, spider and carrion bird (just for e.g.)

Then the grp whipes at a boss - i dont die cause i fd.. but i cannot res eventhough i switch to BM.. unless i have stable call - i could see the usefull in that specially for those who have not got twice bm spec like myself

what do you guys think?

I do wish we'd been able to keep Call Stabled Pet. It would still be useful, and I'd really like to see it again.

I agree as well. When I'm out and about, I don't really feel like searching for the nearest stable master to swap out my pets.

I...forgot all about the stable master's call...For me, I had a set team and didn't really deviate from it much, but now that pets can be any spec, more then ever I'd love to have this ability back! There are just so many pets now that I can use for pretty much anything, it would be really nice to get the ability to call stable again.

stable call was nice when we only had 5 pets total. now that its up to 25, you still have access to 5 at any given point without a cooldown.

I think having something like "call personal stable master" thats on a hour cooldown would be neat. Or maybe just give Blingatron 5000 stable master abilties.

True, there are pets that I love questing with, and then there are others I prefer taking into dungeons, and when I am out on the fields questing while que'd...I cant exactly run to a stable master and switch out when my que pops...or ask everyone to wait for me so I can switch pets...

I can't say I miss it, as it's the reason I missed my first TLPD and had to wait years to get him. >.>

You could only have one active pet, and had to put it in the stable to have your slot free to tame with...and I was actually camping Skoll at the time. So when I flew up and panicked because I didn't have a pet, well...let's just say the kneejerk reflex of hitting that stable button was a very bad idea. *admits this is entirely and possibly unfairly biased, but there you have it*

An hour cd is to much IMO. 5-10 min would be good It would not make us more powerfull, but make us able to stable a pet if we needed it.. lets say for taming a pet you see and your call pet stable is full, or if in a raid and you need different pets for different bosses

That's why you leave a slot open if there are any pets at all you still want to tame, or hearth to town if you need a pet for raid that you don't currently have.

Four or five pets should cover a decent spread of buffs for your raid, especially since many buffs have been condensed so that it's easier for a small group to bring them all.

Now that we have five pets with us at all times, I don't see this as a needed ability. When we only had five stable slots total it was different. It's really not that big of a hassle to stop by a stable master to change up our roster before raids or battlegrounds. I don't -need- five pets just for questing, another five for PVP and yet five more for PVE. A hunter can be perfectly effectual with a small stable consisting of one pet for each (maybe two for the one you'll be doing most often) and an open slot for that sudden rare that crosses your path.

With stable masters being very conveniently located these days, I've never had a problem swapping between the various hubs.

Yeah, thanks to pet battles, stable masters are even easier to find now! After all, those wounded battlers have to have reasonable access to healing their pets. ;P
