Glaive or Barrage? Lynx or Murder?

Which have you found to be the best in raids and dungeons?

I've been using Barrage and Murder of Crows and I do a decent amount of unbuffed dps. Yet I see 95% of hunters using Glaive Toss and Lynx. I kinda just told myself it was because Noxxic recommends it. But it's still bugged me.

So I ran a dummy dps test. Results were almost identical. But for some unknown reason I didn't feel like that was a fair test between the two. :/ The thought still bugging me and the night running out, I left my hunter trained in Glaive/Lynx and will be giving it a test run tomorrow in LFR.

I never saw a difference between the two. Most hunters I know on MG use murder and glaive. I tend to prefer murder/glaive too.

I see only a slight difference between the two during the dummy dps test. I guess today will be the make or break test in LFR.

i use barrage and lynx when i solo and on aoe.. and Glaive and murder on boss targets.. not sure i thats rigth

I go Glaive/Murder just because I've always wanted Glaives since I saw them in Auberdine in Vanilla, and Murder because come on, who doesn't want to summon a flock of crows to kill? xD

I believe they're all pretty even on what is better though.

I really love Lynx Rush, the shorter cooldown appeals to me as well.

I like both Barrage and Glaive Toss. Barrage is really handy for AoE and for dealing with packs of mobs while you're out questing or doing dailies. Glaive Toss is nicer in dungeons and raids though. I find Barrage can be unpredictable in what it pulls, and sometimes I end up grabbing way more than intended because of its wide spray.

I haven't tried Powershot, but it sounds a bit boring to me. Not a fan of wind-up shots.

I tend to use Glaive and, strangely apparently, Blink Strike. I haven't tried Lynx Rush, but it kind of scares me. I don't like having that little control in a fight. x.x Murder seems like it would bother groups, so I haven't tried that one either.

Glaive is nice. A good amount of dps and it's easy, fairly riskless. Just click and done.

Dire Beast isn't on the same tier of talents as the ones the OP is referring too.

However I'm really fond of that talent as well. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to play much with the talents in question but Murder of Crows just sounds amusing (GW2 has a similar ability for rangers). I'd personally probably pick Glaive Toss, although I'd maybe toy around with Power Shot on bosses or something for my own amusement even though wind up shots kinda stink.

I played around with Blink Strike and it did far less DPS than Lynx and Murder.

After running a few dungeons, I found I enjoyed Glaive more than Barrage. I am still choosing between Lynx and Murder. Barrage I was a bit unhappy with during questing because I'd accidentally pull more mobs than my poor goat, Totes, could handle. It would get to the point of "Don't die on me Totes!!" *heal heal, kill command, heal heal, kill command*

ETA: one of the things I like about Glaive most is the CD. It is half that of Barrage. Thus, I believe, I would be doing more damage with it. Lynx is almost the same compared to Murder.
ETA2: Same as in the CD differences.

Glaives and Lynx Rush are by far better for multiple mob situations. On single targets, Crows and Glaives are best. For overall damage in a raid or dungeon, I go with Lynx and Glaives and they do very well in my BM spec. So well that I rarely use the focus required for multishot. The big drawback to Crows is the massive focus usage plus the fact it only hits one target. The drawback to Barrage is the channeling.

Blink Strike is more meant for PvP (battlegrounds, not arena), since your pet can use it while you're camo'd. It's hilarious watching someone try to run away from a Spider/Silithid/Crab with Blink Strike.

Though it does have uses in PvE as well.

Unless they changed it since Mists launched, Murder no longer summons crows like it did on Beta, because it was lagging out people with low-end computers *cough* like me *cough*. Now it places a DoT on the target, with a black orb with feathers flying off of it, with a (non-targettable) crow flying down to attack it every few seconds, then disappearing after it attacks.

The last time I tried Crows which was just a few days ago, it does summon a flock of them which swarm the target. There was no black orb or DOT on the target.

Mine did the same as well. Little crows all attacking one target.

Solo and boosting i still like barrage

Mind-hiccup, meant Lynx Rush but was thinking of beasts at the same time.

Lynx/Glaive for me, I like using Lynx Rush when I activate Beastial Wrath tho I haven't tested the dps outputs.
