So has anyone gotten this quest yet ? If so, did you finish it or just give up trying ?

It was annoying the first time I got it. Now its easy once I figured out a path.

I haven't gotten to the point where I've gotten this quest yet. I did try to watch the video, but the commentary in the first 10 seconds or so were a bit too offensive for me to keep watching.

This is one of those quests that makes me say "designers should be forced to work with artificial 300 ms latency and then let's see how tightly they design things". I was so sick of my torch blowing out when nothing was around me, or on my screen I had quite deftly managed to avoid the twisters.

Having said that, I managed to do this quest first time the last day it was up. But that's only by rote rather than skill. You can learn to compensate. And have to, really. But that, I think, is a poor design. Same with certain rares whose cleaves kill you before you even have a chance to move because you're not in pristine 0 ms latency.

Yeah, I completed this quest once and swore to never try it again. It's a fun idea- I love the obstacle-course style quests, usually. But this one is *brutal*.

SO FUNNY! I just got this quest yesterday for the first time. I died quickly 3 times and then the 5th time after turning on aspect of the cheetah I was on the bridge and there is no way to avoid those two twisters coming at you no matter how far to the right you stay...it's BS! So yeah I gave up as well. I swear the people who completed it were just lucky. I found the same frustration in the GL dailies with the flying sticks and posts. I had to use that amber stuff you buy from Klaxxis just to cheat and get through it lol. Anyway...yeah I'm not doing that quest EVER!

On the bridge you really have to wait till the twisters are well separated from each other. They do that with time. As soon as one passes you, strafe over into its lane before one catches up with you.

For the general path areas it's often best to get outside the chains and walk along the cliff edge for as long as you can.

^This. I've only had to do this over at max about.. 4 times? The only times I've lost my torch I stop and go, "Huh?" because there are no tornadoes even near me at the time. I've got my path down that I run to avoid most of them, the bridge is just a waiting game if you come up to it and they're all going together. I've also had the brazier at the end consume my torch but not give me credit because someone else hit it at the exact same time, so I had to go back and get another torch to run.

That is probably one of my biggest complaints in WoW; Raid encounters/quests/anything designed around having perfect latency.

This this and this...so hard. ><; I'd have nothing touching me and it'd still go out. It's so not fair!

I think I must be alone then. I actually enjoyed this quest even though it was hard. I did notice that I had to dismiss my pet though - if the pet gets hit with the wind my torch would go out (even though there was no wind near me). Once I did that I didn't have a problem (Aspect of the Cheetah FTW!)

I've never had that problem with my pet. I also like the quest on the days it doesn't take me more than 2 tries lol. After the first day of 1000 tries I don't have much of a problem unless I'm a little laggy.

Yeah, I hated it at first but now it's not bad. You run outside the chains as far as you can then when you get to the bridge, you can wait until they're all going in the same direction and pretty easily avoid them, then run to the stairs on the left after the bridge, go up, jump onto the ledge on your right and go around to the brazier,
