Well the past week has been... a shock and amazing... I feel like my good luck run for mounts will come crashing back down now.
But firstly:
Saturday: Done my usual Ony run's with no luck, and my mount farming friend was on, so we headed off to do our usual two/three raids, starting with Tempest Keep. No Ashes. Ok, onto Maly. I kept saying, "I swear I have the itch that something will drop, keeps getting stronger". We had a joke about it, and we went off to Eye of Eternity.

Yeah, I couldn't believe that it finally dropped for him (I already had the Azure, and the blue, and he already had the blue as well) - so we were just going for Azure for him. Needless to say, to see both was outstanding. We rolled on the blue, just because neither of us wanted to leave the poor guy behind! He is now in my bags as a good luck charm

Then Saturday night, I was on vent with some friends of mine just mindlessly chatting away, and thought, meh, I should run Vortex more and get into a farming grind. So jumped on Soph, jumped into Shadow (with heal gear... like a baws!) and started farming through it. I honestly didn't even realise I had killed the boss or even really knew where I was in the instance, and as I was mid way through a sentance on vent:
".... yeah I know what you mean, I was once... OHMY*BLEEPING*GODGUYSI CAN'TBELIEVEITFINALLYDROPPED!!!" - thankfully I removed my finger off the push-to-talk button before I actually screamed.
Such a gorgeous creature. Now means I have the West, East and North drake. Next is figuring out a farming (or duo with my mount hunting friend) to get the South drake.
During the week, I had helped out another good friend of mine with some Kara runs, and we've been spending a lot of time together lately and he said he'd help me with some Blue Proto runs. Now, I can solo this place easily on my three higher level toons, Soph (90), my DK (90), my Paladin (85 - in Holy)... but he wanted to make it easier, and it's been awesome spending time with him. Funny story... half way down the run once you start the fight, I called out on Skype, "wait wait wait... you forgot something!". He stopped and asked what, and I said he owed me a good luck kiss - I got the good luck kiss and we continued.
No. kidding. look. what. dropped.
I couldn't believe it. So long farming this guy... MONTHS... over THREE toons EVERY DAY! Wow, it was total excitement and total relief as well XD
Now I realise I have no more "dungeon" mounts I can farm O.o - kind of an odd feeling.
But I'm starting to get the hang of solo'ing KT on my DK, so that will be another chance at him every week - nearly got him down the other night, but I was getting ported around the instance a lot, and ended up meeting KT in the Al'air middle room, which meant he ran all the way back to his room to do his up in the air thing, then back to the door to him and I ran out of time and he enraged... with literally 2% HP left >< So hopefully I'll get the placement issue down and I'll be fine without any porting around.
But I'm guessing I'm not going to see Ashes or Ony drop for a long time now... I also need to start working on the Al'Akir farm-stratergy and working learning how to fly on Alyz and solo her as a spriest... only ever healed that fight O.o

I hate holiday mounts in that regard. I got the Brewfest ram in my first bag last year, but never seen the Kodo. Only got my DK to run through the last HH - Soph was unlucky with it this morning.
