But yeah, the official forums is usually not worth much other than an eyeroll.

*giggles at the Blue poster* I think I'm okay with that.
Good on the blue poster. Cause really, the warm fuzzies go in both directions here.Kayb wrote:http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7179478237#2

I cry inside every day, as common courtesy withers away. Are you part of the problem or will you help it grow?
Actually, despite what the GOP would want your to believe, companies are not "people".leaponover wrote:What really cracks me up is that not only are people finding something to criticize about it, they are totally ignoring the fact that it is WoW's anniversary. Since when do you give other people gifts on your birthday? The gall to expect something on somebody ELSE's birthday, lol.

So what am I actually dead wrong about? I really didn't make any factual statements, just showed my surprise in how people "expect" things. You are telling me that every company that provides you a service gives you a gift on their anniversary? Wow, you have an amazing life. Seriously...your post cracks me up as well! Thanks for the comedy relief on a Tuesday morning!Sukurachi wrote:Actually, despite what the GOP would want your to believe, companies are not "people".leaponover wrote:What really cracks me up is that not only are people finding something to criticize about it, they are totally ignoring the fact that it is WoW's anniversary. So no, we don't give gifts to corporations on their anniversaries.
The corporation exists because WE, the customers, PAY their salaries. Therefore, the anniversary in question is one that is made possible by our continued financial contribution to the corporation.
Which means that yes, it IS "normal" to have a company give gifts to its faithful customers on ITS anniversary. Because without those faithful customers, well, there would be no anniversary to start with.
You can be "cracked up" all you want, but you're still dead wrong.
Sukurachi said nothing about "every" corporation giving customers a gift on their anniversary. Blizzard has proven itself as one corporation that has made a tradition of doing this. This is why both of your posts are off the mark; you've missed the trees for the forest.leaponover wrote:So what am I actually dead wrong about?
