So how is the water?
So how is the water?
On Black Friday I was able to get the usually 40 buck MoP expansion for a very nice 14 bucks...I have been playing my GW2 for a bit and I gotta say, I miss my hunter. SO I am slightly considering coming back to WoW. Especially since I can fulfill my dream of an AG tree Bear. So my question basically is how is the water? I barely did anything in the last expansion, so hell if I know if I will even like the new one. Is the game even worth trying again at this point?

It depends on what you like. It feels very grind-y as far as all the dailies that are out there. To access valor gear, you have to have appropriate rep with the various factions. Lots of people are sick of dailies. The environs are beautiful, pandas are fun, there's lots of stuff to do/tame. Basically, there's pros/cons.

Well, when you get bored of the grind, the pet battles are amazing, not to mention all of the brand new rares to tame! Of course CRZ ruins that aspect to its own extent (competing with multiple realms for the same rares/pet spawns). But it's better than focusing on dailies, at least.
Always be kind to your pets... or else.

Re: So how is the water?
There's certainly more to do with MoP outside of dungeons and raiding, as other have explained. Minpet battles are fun if that's your thing, but there's also the new Brawler's guild, which pits you solo up against a variety of tough PvE opponents. Dalies aren't too bad so long as you don't try to power through them all each day. I tend to only do however many I feel like at the time, taking breaks in-between, and I've not had a problem with getting burned out.
But, ultimately, it's still WoW. There's been no monumental overhauls to the system. If none of the new stuff interests you, the old stuff hasn't changed much.

Re: So how is the water?
I think this expansion has done a lot to keep players with things to do, and goals to strive for. Pet battles are tons of fun, as well as catching new pets, the leveling, stratagies, etc. Farming is actually nicely done, and gives players the chance to obtain all sorts of prof mats and such, from foods, to ore to enchanting, etc. The Wind serpent quests are nice and quick, don't really feel grindy, and you can do a lot in a day. Explorations is fun, theres so much to see and Rare spawns are all over the place and they are up pretty often. As well as the introduction of the BoA weapons that can be found in different zones, those are fun to hunt.
The quests themselves are pretty neat, varying greatly in whats needed. Cut scenes flow nicely with quests and are really pretty. The lore itself is awesome, and there is lots of character development and humor throughout. Dungeons are pretty fun, they take the "don't stand in shit" seriously, and I love love love watching people figure that one out
Not everything is simple pew pew Boss=loot, there are lots of target switching, and moving, makes fights more interactive then the stand and shoot. Lots of humor throughout the runs...PEPPER!!
I'd say that this expansion is GREAT! The only downside I really find with it is that VP gear is tied into specific rep...I would have preferred them to allow players to choose which factions to gain rep with, rather then force them to get rep with a specific faction for VP gear. (ie share the VP gear across all factions but keep the rep level requirements)
