It was...a ride of some sort. Not like a Flight Path or one of those quest NPCs that give you a temporary free mount to the quest destination, but something odd that seemed to just spin around and around...so I wandered up to it for a closer look...after getting some tickets from the nice Pandaren lady.
The spinning mountable objects clearly resembled actual mounts, yet...they were very fake and goofy-looking. The Hunter escorting me told me it was a ride - a carousel, to be precise - and that it was just for fun.
Well, since they were for fun, I wanted to jump up on one of those false mounts, and I was about to...until I heard someone yelling at me. In Orcish. A Blood Elf said it was for "humanoids only", and that I wasn't allowed to ride on the carousel.
I watched as she laughed at me and continued to spin on the ride. I slithered back to the sandbox and played in that for a while. And then the Hunter and I went back to the carousel. I had a turn anyway.
We had fun (well, I did, as I watched as the Hunter volunteered to get shot out of a giant cannon...twice), and then we left.
