There's many storms coming and going through the south, folks. Please, for the next few days, watch the weather. Make a supply kit. Find a safe place to be if a tornado looks imminent. Help the young and the elderly take cover. Please, everyone, this is life and death stuff, and it would be a blow to lose someone to something like this.

I live in the Northwest and we rarely get anything but a wayward snow/thunder/windstorm terrorizing us.

We've actually had a few tornados in the mountains of NC, though none recently. I hope all of the petopians in that area are safe.

Never seen a tornado in my life...snowstorms yes or hailstorms.

So far the death toll from this storm system is 5 people. The storm set off approx. 37 tornadoes.

There's a front forming where I am now. Storms are supposed to start tomorrow evening according to the weather. They shouldn't be bad though, storms here usually aren't, though we did have one earlier in the season that knocked out power for a day in many area. Driving to work without the benefits of stop lights got tricky.

Living in Ohio, we don't see tornadoes often. Getting some rain at the moment, nothing serious.
