Here's Maoli with Tetley, her teensy little crane, not long after arriving in Orgrimmar. (And Wind Rider Cub off to the left side acting like he has no idea who this noob is.) Tetley was the name I gave a red frog plushie I got before going for my tetanus shot back when I was 10 or so. I thought it fit him, though.

I really didn't have a plan for pets. I have a grid that I tossed random pets into that I've always wanted and figured I'd collect them on Maoli. Obviously, I started with the crane back in the Pandaren starting area. When I hit 10, I went back to tame a white crane. Having heard about their size, I knew what to expect... but actually seeing it in game next to my character was another thing.
On the way back to questing, I ran through the pool that turns you into a crane to stop and pose for a picture with my newly tamed crane and the little jade crane as well.

Next up was Elias at 19. The lowest level you can tame the white snake. He gave me a kiss on the cheek while I was trying to get a screenshot of us.

I was in a Wailing Caverns group at the time and asked if it would be alright if I tamed one of the snakes during the final boss. They gave me the OK and I went off to the far side one and began the tame. I was worried that someone wouldn't have listened or would try to screw with it for fun, but to my surprise no one did and I had my snake. It didn't take long at all to give him a name. Once I thought of it, it fit.
I am REALLY loving this guy. I've always liked the coloring of this skin, but never thought I'd ever actually want a snake. I am rather happy with this tame. Here's a picture of his backside just to show off his beautiful coloring and shinynessity.

Next up was.. fun. I wanted to tame Gosh-Haldir... as a Horde character. I wasn't sure if there was a better way to get to Loch Modan, so I took the only one I could think of. I flew to Trisfal, then to the border of Arathi and by mount went through Wetlands. I almost got killed by the Dwarven PVP guards blocking the tunnel from Wetlands to Lock Modan, but I made it alive! I finally got all the way over to the little hill where Gosh normally tromps around with the other crocs and.... nothing. The whole hill was cleared. It's ok though, because I had forgot to leave one of my pets in the stables to even tame Gosh.
The next day I decided to head on back, with a few more levels on me and an available pet slot on me. This time I easily ran through the guards without fear of dieing. I came upon Gosh's hill and thankfully she was there. Although she became a he once I completed the tame. Sorry, Gosh.

I'm stumped on a name for him yet. I've been wracking my brain but nothing has seem to come to it yet. This little guy isn't as foul tempered as most would think a crocolisk, but he does have the unending appetite of one. He will eat anything and everything, an endless pit always wanting more food. He's even contemplated a nibble of his owner while she meditated by the water side. But he thought it best not to bite the hand that feeds him, ever so well might I add.

That's all I have for now, but I plan on filling my stables. Maoli's main focus will be Quilin, but they're a far ways off for now. For now, I think I'll set my sights on Arash-Ethis or Hayoc next. I've not been able to bond with a wind serpent yet, but I'm going to give it a shot on Maoli.
