Finally get a chance to tame Sunwing. Middle of tame, Alliance from Moon Guard kills it then logs off. Fuck cross realm zones.

I hate acid reflex. Every time I take a nap, getting up is really painful because I have bad acid reflex for five minutes, and it sticks around for a while after. My esophagus, it burns.

Someone PLEASE tell me the secret of Pet Battles.
I really want to have fun with this system, I really do. I play Pokémon and I enjoy it.
But I'm just finding this impossible. It's a grind, and I have about 10 25s now, and it hasn't gotten ANY easier to level more pets to 25. I cannot seriously be wasting my days trying to level pets when every battle is about 5 minutes long and only give about 100xp per.
Given the reception OF the pet battle system everywhere I go to read about it, I must be the only player who thinks this way. Something has to be wrong with me. I'm clearly doing something wrong.

But see, I'm not, though. I've done everything people keep suggesting. I decided on my own that the Clockwork Gnome was amazing. I decided on my own to raise a nether ray fry because it's a nether ray but the fact that it has the most diverse movepool is a great bonus. But there's a point now where I cannot just sit there and level a brand new team to 25 for every new trainer. That takes a week. HOW ARE PEOPLE DOING THIS IN A DAY!?

I'm stuck on the Tamer Chain in Northrend. I cannot beat Okrut Dragonwaste. I have looked on Wowhead and I have tried or thought about every pet people claimed they have used to SO EASILY beat him, and it's not worked for me or I can't wrap my mind around how it was possible. Terrible Turnip bringing his entire team to low health? Listen, my level 25 Turnip doesn't last for longer than 3 turns. i don't understand how that would have been possible *at all*. Show me a video of you doing it. I need a step by step WALKTHROUGH.

I cannot powerlevel pets via trainers; they aren't giving nearly that much experience points. And on someone like Jeremy Feasel, who people have supposedly been powerleveling a low level critter on once they have him down, I don't know. I TRIED doing that, because I HAVE two-manned him with my Fel Flame and Clockwork Gnome, but as soon as I even think about having a lower level pet head it off, I cannot two-man it. Just wasting that turn to send in the real pet ruins it. I don't understand. How do people do it? How can I *NOT* be able to do it? What am I doing wrong?

I would not be this frustrated first of all if I actually felt like I was finding advice on forums. I'll look on Wowhead comments or the WoW pet battle forum and just see IT WAS EASY I USED THESE PETS. That's NOT HELPING. THAT'S NOT HELPING AT ALL. I can use thsoe same pets and still lose. I need to know exactly WHY you used them, what moves you used, if you tried to stall while waiting for a specific cooldown, when you felt it necessary to swap pets, JUST WHAT MOVES THE OPPONENT MISSED WITH TO MAKE IT SO EASY, you know. Also, I wouldn't be so frustrated if I didn't feel like I am the only person in the entire World of Warcraft having such a difficult time doing anything. Is the pet battle system that reliant on RNG that everyone has good luck streaks and I just don't? I miss CONSTANTLY on moves that don't have those increased miss modifiers. I get crit on ALL THE TIME. If that's the case, I don't know if I really want to do this. I have the worst luck. The worst, bar none. If the real "strategy" behind pet battles is that even past type matchups, you need all your moves to hit and all of the opponents' to miss, I can't do this. I'm sorry. RNG-based "strategy" is terrible. Games need to stop incorporating it. It's a terrible design.

Once you have the "right" level 25 pets, you can steamroll even the legendary teams - I've been leveling pets even on some of them. You need to bring 25s who either a) take less damage from the pet you have them facing, b) do more damage to the pet you have them facing, or c) ideally, do both. I'd also suggest a pet that heals, but that's not required if it can nuke really really hard (looking at you, fel flame).

On fights like Jeremy, you can have your lowbie eat the monkey's stun (he opens with it), although I have to say that in his particular case, my lowbies haven't been that shy of, say, 20, and they have to be a good family to face his team. For super-lowbies, I bring them to face the Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdoms trainers first.

I've noticed my RNG improving if I'm using a proper counter to the team I'm facing, but that's not a guarantee of anything.

I do the type matchups, really. I still feel like I'm just the RNG butt of it all because I just can't have any success, even completely taking advantage of it, like using turtles against undead. Or I'll BARELY scrape by.
Like, I'm going to use Bandicoons against Okrut but I really doubt I'm going to get any farther than I already have been. My best was basically my last pet dying at the same time as his last pet was also dying (for real, not just the "gonna pop up as undead now" turn).

I love my Fel Flame, and it is even rare quality, but I still think mine would just die too quickly to rely on it to steamroll most of a whole team. I swear it's just me though. I swear it's just my TERRIBLE RNG. I really just cannot do this. It needs to not be RNG reliant. I am so good at so many things in this game that require actual damn skill that this just frustrates me to no end that I cannot do simple pet battles.

I'd even be convinced that all of my pets just have bad BreedID builds or whatever, but I heard things like Store pets and Achievement pets all have the same build otherwise it'd be kind of unfair. I primarily use those kinds of pets.

If beating Okrut wasn't such a huge road block I'd probably feel better, too. Like, I am willing to bet I would steamroll Major Payne. Yes, I know he's even worse. But knowing me...

In any case, venting possible strategies here I'd feel I get better reception than on the actual WoW forums, because I swear all I'd get there is DON'T BE A BADDIE MCBAD. No one asks about Okrut. NO ONE.
Well, obviously, the "Terrible Turnip spams Tidal Wave and Sunlight to kill the entire team" strategy is proving useless. Clockwork Gnome takes too much damage to be the tank it usually is. The Fel Flame doesn't get to do much. I would try my Water Waveling but I don't think it'd be much better. So I have to just level a whole new team, but I don't want to have wasted my team doing so!

I have a Bandicoon (technically it's a Tanuki pup, same moveset and type though, honestly) to try out, though I'm looking at my giraffe calf little fawn (giraffe's a BEAST so nevermind) to try and bother leveling for the healing or maybe even the Rapana Whelk I use for Bloodknight Antari with its shell shield. The goal would be to take less damage from that proto drake, but even with either a heal or shell shield it'd end up just being this long stall, I bet. I barely even know how they'd all fare against the two undead dragons after that. I barely spend time with them. Is it even a better idea to try and just face Okrut if he sends the frost whelp out first? I swear, no one on Wowhead mentions it. They just rattle off the pets they used with no other information. Arggghhhh.

Okrut was a pain in the butt. >_< I hated fighting that team. If you have to level a different team to do it, don't despair; you'll need your original team again later. I like the restless shadeling against the dragonkin; if you time your dodge ability correctly, you can avoid a lot of unnecessary damage. I don't recall what I used the first time, but I definitely used him the last time I faced him. Keep in mind that though Sleet is undead, none of his abilities are undead attacks - two are elemental and one is dragonkin. An aquatic who dishes out some real damage would be good against Rot - hopefully your turtle is one of the ones that has critter abilities.

On a team that doesn't have healing, you have to worry about damage mitigation, so the shadeling's 100% dodge turn can really put you ahead of the game, especially since he can drop some passive healing for the whole team with plagued blood.

I'm not a big fan of "AoE the other team down" teams myself. I'd rather single target nuke.

A restless shadeling, huh... I keep never being awake at the right hours to nab one. Maybe I'll actually do that tonight. >_<

There's my Emerald Turtle that I used for some of the other Northrend trainers with Powerball attack. My only qualm is that he's uncommon quality, but maybe I'll get a lucky stone drop, or it won't be an issue.

I won't see the results for a day or so but I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks!

I do something wrong, the other person thinks that they're being made out to be the bad guy which isn't true at all. I try to fix things and then I get completely ignored like I'm not a human being with feelings.

The hell? Last night I stayed up till 7 AM with my friends, it was tiring, but fun. I got a few hours sleep and now I'm fine.
And now one of them keeps saying, "Well it wasn't OUR fault, you could've gone to bed when you wanted, etc." even though I'm not saying anything against it! Wtf?

To quote one of them so it makes a bit more sense, I wrote a Facebook status that said this:
"So wide awake, but so shattered... xD --- with <Friend #01> and <Friend #02>."
In a comment (even though she lives across the hall from me...) she wrote:
"Not our fault."

... What? She does this every single time we stay up late and I go to bed at a ridiculous time. I never complain about the situation, yet she says these things anyway. So confuuuuused!
