Well, not sure how scary they were to fight in vanilla but they're still a pain when you fight the ones that hang out before the twin emporer's room xD I took after Chrominius and decided to combine Mini and Anubis together and the result was Minibus! Keke, he comes up to my knee's xD I need to get some minipet bites to make him bigger..
Yea its from the twins :3 I had help, they are utterly impossible for me to even think about soloing. Guildy and i did em today to get her the idol and it took ages to finally split them apart and keep them stable so they wouldnt heal. When i was trying to solo them i couldnt bring either or below 99%, they healed far far too frequently

I just tryed like 5 mins ago and I agree with you >.< Guss I gotta get some guildies to come for a old school mount/pet run!
FWIW, I actually solo'd these guys a couple of nights ago. I just had to make sure I was attacking the one that isn't resistant to physical damage. My dps outclassed their healing by a pretty wide margin. Not gloating or anything, but if I could do it then I'm sure you guys could.

What's your dps?I didnt try to solo em on my lvl 90, she had already cleared the place out (she does about 30k dps).. the char i was using averages about 16k-17k damage (lvl 85, has a bunch of dragon soul lfr gear pieces but not as much as i was hoping for before mists came out)
Yeah, I probably wouldn't recommend trying it until you're level 90. Can't remember exactly what dps I was slinging around in there, but it was probably in the range of 55-60k or so.

jebus o.o i'll have to try after the reset if i can solo em, i gotta get the green glob still so i have an excuse to dive down there at least one last time xD was it difficult or easy for you to burn em down with that dps?
I got those guys down on Tuesday took about 5 min on my 90 hunter with some heroic blues on, mostly quest and rare drop gear. Just focus down the guy on the right keeping widow's venom up all the time, use cool-downs whenever and ignore bugs, as a fire trap can kill them pretty quick. I got lucky on my 1st go and got the little guy. So far with 3 toons from AQ40 and MC (still cant get into BWL) I have 3 Ashstone Core, 2 Corefire Imp, 1 Viscidus Globule, and 1 Anubisath Idol. Have fun hunting guys.
I solo these guys, too. Widow's Venom or a Devilsaur is a must (well, not a *must* but it'll keep you from hurting yourself). As a BM, I was doing plenty of damage to outstrip it (especially with the devilsaur help) and MM would probably be even quicker, with their Steady Shot being physical.
I basically just autoshot and multishot, use KC whenever it's up, blow cooldowns (this is one place where Blinkstrike would be best for focusing physical damage, I think), and Cobra Shot to regain focus for more multishots even if they do 0 damage to Mister Physical. Takes about 5 minutes straight attacking, but it's doable!
Unless you decide to go the route of BM with Cobra Shot and Arcane Shot, rather than your pet, multi shot, kill command, then you want to kill Vek'nilash. THey share a health pool.
I noticed while doing it with a holy priest earlier that whenever I'd use Murder of Crows, their health would drop 10%. Like, I would do enough DPS at 85 for them to lose 1-2% health every minute or so, but murder of crows popped and boom, 10% would drop over that 30 seconds. xD
Soloed this one for the first time yesterday as a lv 90 hunter in semi heroic blues/and Mop lfr gear (479 ilv)
went in as BM with a turtle pet and it was pretty much face roll all the way. for all bosses up till twin.
At sub 30% boss health I found out I that pretty much most of the shots where immune so I kinda autoshotted it down with my pet doing the most of it . At around 5% I did some damage on the magic add so I could get loot from both of them and good thing I did because it dropped of that add >_>.

What do you recommend - having a devilsaur on the physical one while I serpent sting/cobra/arcane shoot the magical with a widow's venom on it, or just go all out on the physical one and just mark the magical one for loot?
I went all out on the physical one last week and it worked. I forgot to hit the magical one though -- I hope that an arcane shot will be allowed there.
I two-manned them again with my level 87 deathknight with help from my pocket-paladin. We both had a conundrum where most of our damage is magical, but we couldn't just burn down the magical twin. Instead, my boyfriend found that some of his attacks WERE counting for physical and we just employed our "Put up tank/threat stances and do the fight normally". I would have problems with the physical guy, because ONLY Obliterate was counting for a hit, but we had done it before at 85 with hunter/paladin and it's simple enough once you're in a rhythm of their teleport-switching.
Arcane shot is ok. At 85 I was douing it with a warrior, him taking the phisical one, and I had no problem with damaging him with serpent sting, cobra shoots and arcane shoots. My autoshoots went to waste, though, and I wasn't able to utylise my KC.
