GW2 Screenshots Thread [Img Heavy]

I've been on vacation, so I had little time to play GW2 when I was gone. I did get some new screenshots last night, plus found a few that I uploaded before but forgot to post.

I'm unsure if Saamid is looking at her in wide-eyed curiosity or with a "Holy shit! WTF are you?" face here.

No need to apologize! Saamid is awesome and deserves to be immortalized in pictures. I'm no better, I take way too many of Sevryn because I think he's flippin' hot/adorable.

I hadn't played Ulfric for a while, so for the past couple nights I spent some more time with him. I got a new armor appearance that I really like. It's a million times better than that shoddy, plain chain crap I was wearing for the past 19 levels. I thought about re-naming him Bigsexy. Not really, but I think it looks really good on him. I'm sure higher-level stuff is even fancier, but for now I'm happy.

Even though there's some minor clipping with the hair, I absolutely love this pose/pic.


In these next couple, I can't decide between making the chain part of the armor gold or grey/steel. I like the gold because it goes with his surname Dawnhammer IMO, but the steel perhaps meshes a little better with the rest of the armor.

As for the armour, I think the gold actually looks better than the steel. The steel makes his armour look a little dull and dirty, whereas the gold shines. But maybe it's just the screenies.

That last picture of Ulfric smiling actually made me laugh out loud.

I like the gold better to. As Mozag said the steel color makes the armor look too dull. It pops in gold.

Thanks for the input guys! After looking at them for a while, I think I agree. The grey looks washed out or something, whereas the gold stands out more. ^_^ Thank you!!!

I got a couple of the gold vs. grey at the character select screen, so the lighting is the same. I still think I like the gold better, even though the grey matches the studs. Oh well.

I'm so sorry for all the pic spam! I found some old ones that I took in The Grove a long time ago that I think are really pretty. It's such a lovely place. Okay well actually, the first one isn't of The Grove, I believe it's somewhere in Caledon Forest. Still, the sylvari area.

Poofarts, one more! I found another one of those dark crystal formations while on Ulfric tonight, but this one was an entire cavern! It shimmers in-game and there's just no way to capture that in a screen shot.

Those are great screenies, Rhyela. Thank you! I laughed and drooled lots. He looks so proud of himself, does Ulfric. I really can't wait to create a Norn, those tattoos are great. No, I won't make them just for eye candy...or okay, maybe a few.

I still think the gold chain is better, the grey just makes everything a bit dull.

So I got a new computer. OMG I can play this game with better graphics and not lag as bad. *mind explodes*

I decided to test the limits of my computer with a dragon fight. I still lag, although not as bad as before, and I can actually see people fighting with me now.

First, some charr in sync dancing while waiting for Shatterer to show up, with Rustina on the way right.

Ooo, you did get a new computer! I can tell the difference between your old pics and your new ones. The game looks great anyway, but it looks sharper now. Do you love it? I know I was happy when I finally upgraded my processor and graphics card.

Oh yus do I love it!

I've been playing around with the graphic settings to see how beautiful this game can be. However I found out with shaders at medium or high Wassa gets the derpest looking eyes. One sticks out while the other is flat. I know this is a problem with the face I picked but I thought I avoided it by not playing with the pupil size (as small pupils make it look even worse) but it looks to be a shading problem. I'm going to have to keep that setting at low. Shame because shader on high would make for amazing screenshots. Well, maybe I can keep it on high except for on Wassa so she doesn't look so odd in screenshots. =/ I'm just keeping it on low for now.

Also better graphics make Pumbloom so wrinkly! I think he looked cuter with smooth skin but my boyfriend had to say, "The more wrinkles on murrelows the more cuter they are. Just like with pugs." I cannot argue with that, hehe.

What are Saamid's shoulders and chest piece? They look really good! I have the same skirt thing, but mis-matched upper items.

For the most part, I don't mess with facial structure too much because I end up messing it up and re-starting. I do tweak the charr stuff quite a bit, though. To me, most of their eyes are set way too far apart.

The chestpiece is from the cabalist set and the shoulders from the conjurer set, both random drops you can buy on the Trading Post. Keep in mind that armor on your female sylvari will look different than on Saamid.

I use both GW2 Armor Gallery and GW2 Armor for looking at gear. The first site has all the armor looks but a few of those sets are pvp only; like the light masquerade/tribal set which would be perfect for a necromancer but is unavailable in pve for now. =(

Oooo, I've used the GW2 Armor one before, but not the GW2 Armor Gallery. Very nice!!! Looking at it, I realize I actually have most of the Shadow set for my necromancer. The only thing I don't seem to have is the gloves. I need to level up tailoring, because I actually quite like the Winged crafted set. I think Ioleandre would look quite nice in it.

Saamid is so awesome that he can levitate hundreds of feet off the ground!

I'm actually standing on invisible platforms which looks to be a bug with certain graphic settings. I could see them fine but another person that was following me around was so confused because she saw me jumping on nothing while we were going up to this vista. I turned my settings all the way to low and sure enough I was standing in midair.

Saamid got stuck like this after combat. I was running around in this position and it didn't end until I attacked another monster.

"Rawr!"

I knew your character will move their head to look at what you are targeting, but I didn't know they followed the other character's face. Charr have an idle animation where they look around and Saamid was looking up at him moving his head with his. I just thought it looked hilarious.

"My you're a tall one!"

Firefly reference that made me smile.

I bought a new helm for Ulfric tonight. I don't typically like helms, and after buying it I realized I probably won't use it, but it was fun while it lasted. I guess the plume was too hard to resist, and I liked that it showed his smexy neck tats somewhat. Unfortunately for helms, I think his hair is far smexier.
