Kalliope put it best, I think:

I'm not anti-video (well, OK... I *am*, but not in the 'Don't post videos' way). I'm just a firm believer in 'communication over advertisement' sort of thing. And if there is a communication barrier of some sort, whether language or other reason, don't be afraid to say that, too.
Agreed. *nods* It would rid of the annoyance many members feel.
People were upset he posted links and nothing more. Not so much as 'not conversing' as it is advertising a channel. That was said more than once.
Myzou wrote:People were complaining he did not converse. So he's conversing. Sure, it's not on topic, but even the mods apparently wanted him to converse.
It's just that this way he still sounds very much like a bot. Weirdly formulaic, repetitive, off-topic responses, after getting complaints for not talking? Umm...
Look, I don't want to judge. I'm just saying it looks suspicious.

I can assure you I am not a bot Zhinru. I've never come across a bot who could respond to people in discussion using sentences and discussing similar content. I was off-topic based on people did want me to talk so i did. But if you would like to talk about the cinematic or 5.2 feel free to ask any questions about it. I don't think bots can answer questions

Well, technically they can.
Where is this cinematic from? Do you know? Is it the opening cinematic for the patch, does it pop up during a quest?
The cinematic starts when you begin the scenario "Tear Down This Wall!" in World of Warcraft. Tear Down This Wall! is a scenario in World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. It takes place in an instanced version of the Isle of the Thunder King
At least the "Tear Down This Wall! is a scenario in World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria." part.
But meh, even if you were a bot, you communicate, and that's all people should care about. You're posting videos of content that people want to see. If they didn't, they wouldn't be on the 5.2 forum.
Question to those who were complaining: If there IS a direhorn questchain later on, and he posts the cinematic (if there is one) of your character bonding with a direhorn or whatever, are you going to complain then? Or will you thank him for posting a cinematic related to hunters? >_> Just a curiosity.

If he just posts a link and does not talk about it yes I would. That's what I was getting at. He should atleast say something about the video and not just posting a link so people will know what it's about as a title does not always tell you what it's all about. Like this one first I thougt it was the patch video.
I'd still be upset, Myzou. It's not the content that's the issue and that's what we keep saying. It's the fact he drops a link and runs off without anything else. If I just randomly posted a youtube link somewhere, and didn't say a word of what it was about or anything, people would eventually get annoyed with me too.

Except he's posting the title to the thread.
Yes, it could have been more descriptive, but it's still there. He did not create a blank topic with a video. He labeled it.
A title isn't talking, Myzou. Bots can post titles. It needs to be more than a title. He only started talking cause people have been prodding him and now more are showing slight annoyance. It's causing a disturbance. It's a shame it had to come to this but none of us want the forum to become some youtube proxy just to get views, bot or not. Asking to be a little more involved isn't asking much.

I guess I should say "thank you" and "sorry", but you must admit - your responses do feel awfully formulaic. Do you use some kind of online automated translator or something? If that's just how you naturally communicate, I must insist on calling you "Data".

Lol. I don't seen why I would need to use any type of software to respond to people. This is the way I talk with everyone. Perhaps I am a robot but did not realize it until this moment.
We probably should move on and discuss what this thread was about. Feel free to ask any questions about the cinematic or patch 5.2. It's an in-game cinematic and to me I think blizzard should have done a better job with it but then again it's only ptr so it may change.
