Still, Rose proceeded out to Tol Barad, knowing that foxes occasionally inhabited the small space across from the Horde outpost there. Sure enough, upon her arrival to the clearing, a red fox was darting around, chasing its tail. Rose snagged its attention and reached out to form a bond with it, the fox standing happily by her side soon enough.

Hm... perhaps this goofy fox did have some resemblance to Swift after all. Going off a whim, Rose decided to name him Swift Jr.
Stepping back, the huntress took a look at her new found friend, not that he was wanting to stand still for her to admire!

He was a handsome enough little fellow with nice sleek fur, long slender legs, and a cheerful, if mischievous, looking face. Overall a solid model, though a little blocky in some areas.
Since he was a feisty little guy that didn't like holding still, Rose got a good look at the fox's idle animations.

Sometimes he liked to sniff around himself as if he were looking for treasure or his next adventure.
Other times he would sit down and scratch himself.

...That face. Yep, Swift was definitely an appropriate name for this fox.
Swift not willing to stand still anymore, Rose took him out for a run to burn off some energy. His running animation was nice and smooth since he shares a model with the coyote model wolves.

Um Swift... your front legs seem to have disappeared. o_O
Being on the shared wolf skeleton also means that Swift has a nice, smooth, doggy paddle style swim animation.

With Swift growing ever more restless, Rose decided to test his mettle by taking him out to the new task she was assigned with--some new continent had been found while the Alliance were being hunted down and Garrosh was sending able bodied "heroes" to explore it and conquer it. Back to Orgrimmar the pair returned to be shipped out. Swift seemed excited by the whole thing, even after an Alliance cannon nearly killed him and his new mistress.

And he enjoyed riding on Rose's back to rappel down to the ground.

And it was a good thing the local wildlife didn't seem dangerous because he took a rather swell liking to them as well, even if the local tigers were twice his size.

Then it was down to brass tacks and business; the Alliance had nearly killed Rose, and even though Rose had friends in the Alliance, they needed to pay for nearly costing her her life. Time to see if Swift could assist her in a fight.

Erm Swift... this is no time for a snack!

Don't bite her butt! ((Love the human's reaction in this one. xD))

By the gods Swift, what is wrong with your jaw?!
One of the most obvious things Rose noticed about Swift is that he makes *a lot* of noise when he's fighting, definitely not always a good thing for a hunter that prefers stealthy sniping jobs to running in with her guns blazing ((dual wielding pistols/hand crossbows would be the coolest thing ever)). She also noticed that he kicked up a lot of dirt and sand in his opponents' faces, which could come in handy from time to time.

Overall, while Rose did enjoy her time with Swift Jr, she is not entirely sure how Myriana puts up with such a rowdy pet all of the time. While the red fox's antics did make Rose laugh, she just couldn't handle such an unruly creature and let him return to the wilds in Pandaria--he really seemed to take a liking to the locals. After dealing with Swift's brand of crazy, Rose became much more thankful for her previously tamed, and much more well-behaved, fox, Blaze.
