So, my first pet challenge! I had to go and tame myself an Orange Shale Spider.

The worgen Aamu had never been too fond of spiders. Ever since they swarmed her homeland Gilneas, she thought she would never have one as a pet. Shale spiders, though... maybe. Then, she encountered Glint (1). She looked at him in fascination and since she had nothing to lose anyway, she tamed him (2). He let out a cute little scream when he magically leveled to lvl 85. Aamu decided to call him "Haldor", meaning Thor's rock (she loves mythology and history). She went to Stormwind with him, where Haldor once again let out a little squeal - Stormwind baffled him. All he had seen before was the Circle of Inner Binding and the elementals surrounding it. Now he saw Night Elves, Dwarves and other folk that had once passed his land, but did nothing more than... just pass. Aamu found out that, even though Haldor was made of stone, he had a certain fondness of water, just like herself. When they were sitting in a little boat (3), she had an epiphany. She wanted to go to Uldum with him. Why? Uldum rocks (pun intended). When they arrived in Uldum, the familiar heat of that desert approached them. Haldor's colour fitted perfectly in the yellowish, sandy environment. They walked around a bit when they were rudely attacked by a hyena (4). Their journey was concluded at the pyramids, at least for the moment (5). Aamu has yet to decide whether she wants to make Haldor a permanent part of the team.

This works quite addictive. I'd like another roll, please! :D

So, after the previous taming adventure, Aamu set off on another journey. This time to the exotic Outland and the always lovely *cough* Shadowmoon Valley. After flying around a bit (1), the hunter spotted some Fel Boars. In fact, she noticed she was surrounded by them (2)! Aamu had always quite fancied a Fel Boar, so she decided to tame one (3). The first one was killed by accident (buttons are not my friends). The second one, however, was tamed successfully and was named Alastor after significantly shrinking in size. Aamu liked the boar, with his black fur and green spikes. The way he runs is too cute! She took him to Scholazar Basin to see if Loque’nahak was there by any chance – it wasn’t – but she took the chance and showed the little boar around in the pretty jungle, which was totally different from the dark, gloomy area he came from (4 and 5).

Yeah, I really like this boar! Alastor is probably going to be a new team member! ;)

After saying goodbye to Plague, Rinel felt lost and alone. She decided that if she was going to find a pet that would go adventuring and help her save the world, she should pray to the Loas. When Rin was done, she curled into a ball under the nearest tree and cried herself to sleep.
Image

Shortly after she started to dream, she had a dream that the great Loa, Tyger, spoke to her, telling her about another soul that was in need of companionship. In the morning Rin awoke with new purpose. She quickly headed out to Razorhill and asked the locals about the beast from her dream.
Image

After finding and lulling the creature with her familiar song, she had him sit down next to her, spending a few minutes thinking of a good name for her new friend. When several hours past, she finally decided to name her new friend Jimmy. She's still not sure where it came from, but Jimmy didn't seem to mind.
Image

He even seemed to dance in celebration!
Image

The Scorpids are neat I must say, tho I haven't seen one that I liked (besides Madexx's red color) yet, but Jimmy seems to be a keeper, tho he has a face only a mother could love.
Image

After lunch Rinel and Jimmy decied to go adventuring. They headed up to Azshara, since Rin wanted to play on the rocket-railway that the goblins build there.
Image

Image

Image

After a few hours spent, a few levels gained and finding out what Cliff Giant poo looked like, they headed into Wailing Caverns. Rinel has always heard that the place was haunted, but after killing the crazy Night elfs and helping the druids, she decied it wasn't that bad of a place.
Image

Image

Jimmy's walk is smooth and he makes little clicking noises when I think are adorable. His swim is the same expect he uses his tail more than his legs.
Image

Image

All in all I like him, we got 10 levels under our belts and I think he's going to stay.
Image

I'd like another one please,

My first random tame was a Green Silithid, so for my tame challenge I chose to go get Haarka, the Ravenous :)

I was surprised at first at how eager this little guy was to get going, jumping about from side to side like an excited puppy! So I named him Jitta (kudos if you get it!).

So off we went to Kara, for the weekly poke at Attumen, and see if he was liking me enough to give me a Fire Pony. So we get there, and as usual, it's scary as hell:

Although Leryda did tell me off for mucking about outside :/

But we get inside, and Jitta's as curious as a little curious cat to see what's in store:

So we clear the trash up, and take down Attumen, but alas no horsey, flaming or otherwise. So we left the stables empty handed :(

Jitta and I hung around for a bit longer, and I took her to see the Valley in Pandaria:

However in the end, whilst I enjoyed my time with this eager little beaver, I felt she belonged with her own kind more, so I released her back into the wild, bidding her a fond farewell.

Another one please! :D

As she lay sleeping on her cot in Undercity, Tahney Spirittamer received a dream from the spirits urging her to head to the blood elf lands and check on the dragonhawks there. Curious, the young tauren and her ghostly worg, Snarl, made their way to the portal-orb that connects Undercity to Silvermoon and zipped over to the elven capital. Tahney left Snarl in the care of the stable master before she set off to the entrance to the city. She marveled at the architecture around her as she headed outside, gaping at the rolling green hills and wondering exactly what it was the spirits wanted her to look for with the local dragonhawk population.

The tauren just started wandering around, enjoying the feel of the grass between her cloven hooves. As she explored, staying near the city walls, Tahney stumbled across a young dragonhawk that was barely able to keep itself hovering off the ground, its eyes dull. Worried for the poor creature, the hunter approached it carefully, crooning a low song and forming a bond with the struggling creature. As the bond finished, Tahney felt the pain and suffering of the dragonhawk and quickly sent him reassuring thoughts.
Image

Tahney gently hoisted the ailing dragonhawk onto her back, returning to the city and finding a location to start trying to heal the creature. After a few days, once he started feeling better, they returned to where the hunter had found the dragonhawk. As he sat there staring at Tahney, the tauren took the opportunity to study him; this was her first time interacting with one of these creatures after all.
Image
Image
He was a handsome looking fellow. Now that he was getting healthy, his scales and feathers were looking nice, well-placed, and shiny and his eyes were starting to glow brightly again. He sort of reminded Tahney of a fan.

A few days later he grew stronger yet and Tahney took him out for some exercise.
Image
Image
She noted that his flight was smooth, reminding her of the way a serpent might fly if it had wings... and feathers. Snorting, she did have to admit it was rather beautiful. His swim was the same motion as his flying and seemed a tad awkward under the water though Tahney supposed his wings made decent paddles.

As he grew stronger yet, Tahney wanted to make sure that he would still be able to fend for himself and feed himself. Not wanting to kill another animal, she wandered around, stumbling across the scar that still retained a few undead. Deciding that would work, she angered one of the Scourge and looked to see how the dragonhawk would handle things.
Image
Image
Image
Well, his fighting methods certainly seemed... interesting, to say the least. He smacked the the skeleton around with his tail and occasionally stabbed at it with his beak. But, ultimately, he survived and seemed to be able to handle himself. Tahney returned to the location where she had met the dragonhawk and let him go there, her job of bringing him back to health, complete. Waving goodbye, she returned to the city to meet up and retrieve Snarl.

((Whoops, went a little overboard with that one. xD First time getting to really get in this character's head. Also, even though I'm sure most people know this, dragonhawks' special ability puts a debuff on the enemy that increases magic damage taken by 8%, making them great for groups of spellcasters and SV hunters.))

Not much meat to this, sorry! I'm afraid Kuhani's reports will most likely be more story than pet but hopefully I'll add enough.

Pet 1: The White Bear

I'm working with a new pet company in Stormwind. The other Pandaren there are a bit skittish around the new fauna here, so I was "recruited" (via much cajoling and offering of gold) to show them how well we Pandaren can get along with this foreign wildlife. I had my reservations. I never really got along with the wildlife on the back of our great turtle; despite my efforts, they always seemed distant to me. Why was I now taming the wild?

Either way, my first assignment was... I hope it wasn't a joke. I suspect it was. A white bear. I've never met a bear before, but I've heard loud whispers about my kind looking like them. And white? Very funny. I wonder if there are white and black bears? I sincerely hope not...

Moving on! It's not healthy to dwell on the negative. At least, so I've been told. I got to take the tram to Ironforge, then headed out into the snow to find my bear. It's a good thing I'm not bald like the rest of the people here... Maybe that's why these dwarves have beards... Right, the bear. I didn't have to go far to find one, though I did have to ask around. The amused smirks I got when I asked where to find a white bear... I found it, anyway, next to some trees, and through much offering of food it warmed to me and started to follow me around. It's a bit smaller than I'd expected...

Image

I still can't see why we're called bear people. I look nothing like this beast. It does have cute fluffy ears, though... Its coloration was almost appealing, but the white was stained yellow, and its eyes were a little scary, fully blue. And for such a little thing, it had massive, deadly looking claws.

I took it back to Stormwind, and was told to take it out to Westfall to explore with my new bear companion for a bit. I had to stop to watch him run, he looks ridiculous! His huge rear end was all I could see of him as he ran off ahead, and even from the side he seemed to roll more than run. He looked a bit like our men, actually... Bouncy. Not all that appealing, either way, he didn't look very graceful or balanced, and one of his legs never really extended fully.

Image

We fought a few gnolls as well. That was more fun, and that's where he shone. His heavy paws could deal some real damage as he swiped away, and every now and then he'd rear up to roar. He'd bite as well, which looked a bit silly, in all honestly. Either way, he was definitely more impressive fighting than he was running.

Image

I suspect this one will be going back to the wild once I show him off to the other Pandaren. He's a bit aloof, falling asleep as soon as I needed to get stuff done, and he looks too silly. I'll never be taken seriously with him around.

((Too low level to talk about his skill!))

Fel has her choice between the pink dragonhawk or the green scorpid. Both scorpids could be found in Kalimdor, so I figured I'd give them a shot. It was just a hop, skip, and teleport to Uldum from Stormwin--where was the portal?

It turned out I never did Uldum. Which meant I didn't have the portal. So I figured I'd try Hyj--oh right, I did Vashj'ir. Well then. Not quite willing to quit on Toxx or Madexx, I knew it was time to find a boat. Luckily, the boat to Kalimdor was at the dock, and didn't leave in the time I was flying down, so I was soon on a bird. All the way down to Silithus. Which, in case you were curious, is probably something like a two, three minute flight. After all this, one of those damn scorpids had better be there.

I had just about a snowball's chance in hell that Madexx, of any color, would be up. But for the sake of SCIENCE, I made my way to Uldum.

What do you know, he's not up!

In resignation, I knew I had to hunt down the violet dragonhawk. Tempest Keep or SMV were my options, and I opted for SMV. Taming the dragonhawk wasn't difficult, what with the odd 15-18 levels I had on it. My hearth was still down for another 5 minutes, so I took some time to study the dragonhawk. Dragonhawk became Ruby, after the demon.

Dragonhawks are fairly sturdy models, very flowy and elegant. Ruby has a palish colors of the dawn sort of concept going on. The color scheme is pretty, don't get me wrong, but I'm more of a Dusk kind of person. (do u c wut i did thar) The models themselves are well animated, and I don't really have any complaints.

Dragonhawks share their buff with wind serpents, increasing magic damage on a target by 5% or so. Another spell that would be great for a surv hunter, and a lot less useful for a Marks hunter like I am. Despite that, I figured I'd let Ruby accompany my exploration of the Jade Forest some more. We were ordered to practice amongst the other monks--not that I was any good at it. Ruby was rather unimpressed about the whole affair.

Eventually, we got to do some sort of fighting, even if it was practice duels. Ruby has two attack animations--a tail swipe and a dive.

In all honesty, though, I already have Tessa, who takes care of the buff. And Ruby was awfully snarky to me, breathing gusts of fire to antagonize me and being rude to Cas. I wasn't surprised she wanted to bail and be released to the wild. She preferred the forests of Pandaria to the smogs of Shadowmoon, so I accommodated her wishes and let her go.
