Mobs can and often do drop currency. Commendations can't become a currency because the game devs wants players to drop them, and that can't happen with a currency. (If I understand everything right)
Kalliope wrote:Players drop gold in bgs all the time.
Is it looting though? I remember the message for "looting" players in BGs is something like "removing insignias" as opposed to "looting". Do you get the Commendations from Krasarang from the same option or from just plain old looting? (I have never killed any players in Krasarang - I just avoid flagged people like wildfires)
I'm saying this because I remember a blue going "we're not making commendations a currency because we want them to drop from players".

Ahhh, fair point; that's true. I'm sure there are behind the scenes reasons that this isn't implemented in the non-bg world.
What the hell do you people carry in your bags so that you don't have enough space for that ammount of bones?! O______________O
I carry the set I use for transmog, I got a good amount of useless but fun items especially disguises, food, potions, and I don't remember what else off the top of my head, and I have about 50 empty bag spaces?
So what is it then? You're all running arround with 6 slotters? Dear god please tell me you aren't...
In case you're wondering, yes I really am scared shitless and worried here.
Flasks, toys, current transmog set, Shieldwall commendations, archaeology stuff (crated artifacts, keystones), food, bandages, philosopher's stone...Ziarre packs a lot of stuff. >.> Backpack + first 24-slotter are generally full.
My alts, thankfully, don't have quite as much of an issue yet.

Well, let's see... One bag is a mining bag, then there's half a bag of farm stuff, engineering items, arch items, quest items, food, flasks and potions... Etc.
I might have 16 slots at most free outside of the mining bag.

Why is it such a big deal? o.O Loads of people carry all sorts in their bags and others are too lazy to clear them out all the time. I don't see why it would 'scare' you, though...
Personally, my bags are a dead zone. I basically carry my hearthstone, tabard for dungeon runs and spirits of harmony.
My bag space has been in jeopardy since WotLK, and it's only grown worse in MoP.
I'm an avid packrat. My bank is full, literally. I have every bank slot equipped with a 22 slot bag, and all are taken up by transmog and outfit pieces. Though I've tried to limit gear I keep to strictly mail (so at least it has a purpose with transmog), I still find myself keeping most of my dresses and other favourite wardrobe pieces since I've always been fond of collecting outfits.
My void storage was used up not long after it was introduced. It remains full to this day, and I mostly use it to store things like holiday items I don't wish to get rid of, and complete gear sets that I don't often plan to use but still want to keep.
As for Veph's bags...
The first 22 slot bag is dedicated to my hearthstone and useful items (Jeeves, MOLL-E, Wormhole Generators, Army Knife, Fishing Pole, tabards, standards, etc, etc).
My next two bags (22 and 24 slot) are both filled with transmog gear/outfits, every slot. Pieces that I like to keep with me if I want to wear them often, or just things that plain wouldn't fit in my bank.
The final 24 slot has all the fun vanity/transformation items, predominantly from MoP, but also things gained in other eras. I've even deleted a few of the ones I didn't feel I'd use often, but I love items like this so much I want to keep them all. It's worse when they're quest rewards that you could never get back.
My default 16 slot backpack is really the last bastion of free space I can ever manage, though it often ends up partially full.
Forgot to mention that void is full of mail and ranged weapons, and bank is mostly full of the same, plus tabards and arch items, and eng stuff. All the arch items eat up almost a full bag on their own.
I've been going through and vendoring some of the mail, and may need to do so again, there's just too much of it.
My bank is full of things from the Holidays and because I do a LOT of archaeology on my main Drakkena it has ALL of the rares in it. It is also full of items that I need for Leatheworking, etc. While my bags themselves are not full it's a bit of a problem to many to have so many items in their bags. A stack size increase would be wonderful, instead of 500 let them go to 1000. That would mean instead of 20 stacks of the things we'd have 10.
Also, I have a mixture of 22 and 24 slot bags on Drak and while that's a lot of slots it still gets full extremely quickly when I am out Fishing and Gathering things to finish my Ways Of cooking achievements XD. I'm not in the ball park of getting any of those lovely 28 slots yet. But my mom is working on her Tailoring to get them.

It's just that I thought I was carrying way more stuff than needed and was surprised that others had more than me. I also tend to be a bit more emotional about weird random things than most people are.

Same here, I usually keep the unique/playful things for later, and ridiculous use. But I can never bring myself to delete them. My entire Void Storage is filled with old ZG items when I was farming the mounts. Had nowhere else to put them all.

All I hope is that the orange skin isnt used, would cheapen the savage raptor mount and its already low... They havent even done that before with tcg mounts, its just a recolored skin.. not a saddle lol. I would actually love it if they used

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I'd love an alternate method to get the orange skin, would match my King Mosh! I was lucky enough to get an old-school Swift Razzashi Raptor, and wouldn't mind if they introduced another way to get that look. I really dislike when they discontinue mounts.

You mean like they did with the fishing chair? Ya, when you get Best Friend with Nat he mails you his fishing chair, which is graphically identical to the TCG one in every possible ways. At least the red raptor has a slight color difference with its harness, but even then most people wouldn't even notice that. Heck they don't even notice the fins on the epic dragon turtles! Such a shame.
Personally i would love to see TCG items appear with alternative acquiring methods since everyone who gets the rewards via TCG are either extremely lucky or have the cash to do so which (the whole 'i has a crapton of money ima spend on ebay or craigslist for a redemption code') isnt much fair to the players, blizz just does that to make more money off the TCG system.
I certainly dont have the money to buy a single packet of WoW cards let alone a dozen+ or search the web for someone selling the redemption code which will ensure i get it right there and then. Take the hippogryph hatchling for example. Theres a TCG of it and then theres a store version. They are identical yet i heard no uproar over it, irregardless of the fact the proceeds when it was released were going to help Japan during the earthquake/tsunami incident.
