I have been playing this game again, and just got into the 'Loomin' storyline. After killing a boss, a little maggot was clinging to the tentacle of the boss, and was adopted by the village's chief.
The little maggot happens to be named 'Chibi', and Chibi loves to hop. And Chibi also happens to be a big yellow worm later in the game once he grows up.
Coincidence? If it was just the name 'Chibi', I wouldn't be convinced, considering 'chibi' is Japanese for 'little' and/or 'cute'. But both Chibis are big yellow worms!
