Need help gearing for PvE
So I've just come back to WoW. I have 3 (and possibly 4) 90's no higher than 440 in ilevel. How would I go about gearing them all up? and should I wait for the next patch to come to give my characters good gear, or should I hurry and gear them now? cause right now this whole "item upgrade" system is giving me a bit of a headache.

If you are not planning to raid, don't worry about the upgrade system. Even if you are planning to raid, if it's just doing LFR or raiding on a casual basis I wouldn't worry about it.
As far as gearing up, it works just like previous WoW expnsions. Run heroic dungeons, look into buying a few crafted pieces if you can, work on reps to buy gear off the rep vendors. Golden Lotus and Klaxxi I think both give nice epic rewards for free at exalted. Once you get to 463 ilvl (I believe) and then you can run LFR.

If you want to buy valor gear, you might want to concentrate on your 5.1 faction; it has higher level gear than the 5.0 factions.

Theres also alot of very nice crafted gear if you have some mates with those professions

Ok, a few tips...
Do Sha of Anger weekly for the quest item to get 476 boots, and after that for a chance of tier gear.
Concentrate on one toon first on the reputations until you are revered with all so you can get the bonus rep from the commendations on the other toons.
If you can do panda archeology, depending on your classes, the arch items are quite good, and can be upgraded via justice points. (example, the spear is awesome for feral Druids)
If you have honor points, buy some of that gear to help you get into LFR.
Also, there are a lot of changes coming with 5.2, so I would just focus on one toon first, and then worry about the others when 5.2 hits.
