Monks and Fist Weapons

Unread post by leaponover »

I looked around for this and see some posts on the internet, but I can't get to them as many are blocked here at work.

Is it true that you cannot see fist weapons when you jab with teh monk? I was really looking forward to doing some transmogs when my monk is fully geared (he's at 78 now), but if this is truly i'm utterly blown away and pissed off. I know you don't see fist weapons sheathed but now you are telling me they don't show up in fight animations. If that's true this is a mockery of a class that looks born to have fist weapons. Please say it ain't so or at least that somewhere Blizz has addressed it and is working on a fix. I don't want to have to go run in traffic :-(

Yes, it's true for the most part. I actually prefer not to see them, but I can understand others who would. After all, I can always mog fist weapons with one of the various "invisible" hand wrap weapons you can buy at the Peak of Serenety, but others who want to see them don't get that luxury.

I'm only guessing, but it sounds to me more like it might be an animations issue and it could be taking them a while to fix. I'd be surprised if it's just something deliberate.

Yeah, that seems a bit odd that a weapon would be invisible, no matter what it's doing at the current time. I don't know if alerting Blizz to such a problem would help (most likely not) but that doesn't seem like it's a deliberate thing.
