The wiki said the basic plot and then something around the lines of "and this task reveals her true potential as a princess"

and that was yesterday but I see now that they have removed it. Tho with the amount of toys coming out with her as one I wont be surprised if they keep her as one >.>

Eh still it's up to them and no amount of throwing stones on a facebook page is going to change it now. The animation is most likely done already and they would not re-animate things. It's not like that Derpy thing that was a simple edit and a easy thing to do.

I very seriously doubt this is a temporary thing. Yes, Junrei, I've read every single synopsis that was released. It sounds like you're the one who hasn't read them. By the sounds of things, she's staying a Princess. Why else would they release a picture of her titled 'Princess Coronation' and start advertising a bunch of Princess Twilight Sparkle toys? Pretty much every preview ever at the moment says she finds her 'true potential'. What else could that mean? They wouldn't start releasing toys for a version of Twilight that's just a screw up.

Also, no one is 'flying off the handle', at least not in this thread. Bronies everywhere are, but they can freak out all they like and ruin the show for themselves for all I care. I'm not flipping out. If she becomes an Alicorn Princess, awesome. If she doesn't, awesome. This thread was made for the speculation of the event, since everything *is* leading up to her becoming a Princess.

That's what they said about Optimus Prime when he died and Hot Rod became the new Autobot Leader.....and look what happened with that. Never say never and I did read them. Even had a discussion with several friends about it and we all think it's likely not permanent since last time Hasbro tried to pull a stunt like this, it was very ugly, and they pulled back.

I'm willing to agree with this point, just because a fanbase freaks doesnt mean that the show wont change something.(Look at George R. R Martin, hes an author I know but he kills off main characters and drastically switches his story all the time.) I hope she stays an Alicorn, sorry for those who dont like her but shes probably my favorite because I identify with her and shes perfect for the position. I think this should stay and as you said Snowy this is primarily a little girls show, they've already made all the toys anyways. I dont see them backing off and in my opinion if the bronies are going to take this so personally maybe they need to sit down and take a VERY deep breath... Its a little frightening people would be so outraged.

I'm not gonna be pissy if she does stay an alicorn, but it's not a decision I'd be happy with. It won't make me boycott it or anything. But like I said....I stand by my example of Optimus Prime. I was hoping to avoid all spoilers for the new episodes.

Same happened to me, but to be honest, a spoiler like that would've been *very* hard to avoid. Especially if you read EQD.

Ya I was going to avoid EQD, My Little Brony and other MLP sites until I saw the episodes but oh well.


I think some of the fanbase, especially bronies that only like gen 4, don't know that the MLP shows are meant to sell toys over everything. It's been that way since gen 1 and just because gen 4 is "better" doesn't change this fact. If Hasbro thinks Twilight alicorn toys will be a big seller then they will change her in the show to help sell them. Princess Cadance was made mostly because Hasbro wanted a pink alicorn after they finally changed the Celestia toys from pink to white to be accurate to the show.

I'm just going to a "wait and see" approach to this Twilight alicorn thing. I thought the season two finale episodes would be pretty bad but they turned out great. I hope this is the same.

I'm inclined to agree. Twilight wouldnt be dying either. Shes still Twilight she just has wings now. I'm happy either way but I'll be so happy if they give this to her. She looks quite good like that I'd say. Considering her personality would stay exactly the same I'm still quite confused why fans would freak out. I guess some people just cant take change.

Quite frankly all the screens of her look like a bad fan edit. XD I don't know why but something to do with the animation puppet looks like they missed a colour layer or something. Or that it was rushed.

I like it but I think the problem isnt the color but that the wings are a bit too big and they look a tad obnoxious on her tiny frame. When looking at the original picture her neck and head look really tiny compared to those big ole wings shes got going on.

They gave her Princess wings instead of normal wings that seems to be the problem. I mean really normal wings would of made it look less off XD Least they look like the Princess model wing. If it's not well the did something wrong
