Re: Echoweb Toxiclaw
Oh yes, I released mine since it was getting on my nerves, but here is something I learned about it while experimenting.
It starts casting it's spell only if you summon it while you're already in combat.
It doesn't stop raining poison until you are out of combat, if summoned this way.
This was of course already known BUT:
If you summon it AFTER you are already in combat, and then dismiss it BEFORE combat ends, the next time you summon it, it will still think it is in combat, so it will infinitely rain poison everywhere, engaged or not, until you re-engage something and end its combat properly. I was wondering why mine never stopped after I'd killed something, and it turned out it was because I had dismissed my pet early while the stampede ones finished off the target.
And yes, I hope they fix this fast, because this could become very annoying if hunters start standing around in cities with these glitched out.

I know it's bad, but there is now a part of me that struggles with this. The whole "Omg don't use it they will take all the good pets away!" They are going to kill this regardless. I'm not aiming at you Jess, actually at Blizzard, it’s just inevitable.Junrei wrote:Yeah...you could get into huge trouble for a pet like that. It's pets like that...that take away all cool pets.
I say use this thing and have fun while you can, blizzard will nerf it and remove it, just a matter of time.
(yes I'm a little cranky today) But really, you would think that with all the hysteria and excitement that happens, the time and lengths some will go to, just to be able to tame pets with a little visual flair and fun, they might stop and think...
"Hey, Maybe they like these pets with different cosmetic looks, I wonder if we should implement something like this?"
Just saying...
But does this one deserve to be removed? If it's as annoying as other are reporting sure why not, what ev's

It does extra damage. This is a must-remove.Spiritbinder wrote:But does this one deserve to be removed?

Yeah. I don't like siding with the moral police here, but this is a pet will be hot fixed. Fun to show off, but don't augment your DPS with.

Looks like a fun glitch tho
Even if you don't use it as a dps boost. Couple with Illidans Path and your a Demonhunter!!

Yeah I passed on a bug report in-game as soon as I found out it did damage, even if it is as low as 150 or 300. Even when it is hotfixed, I'll still have my Skittles Stampede, where I use one of each color of Lava Spider, so I can still say "Taste the Rainbow...then DIE!"

Re: Echoweb Toxiclaw
ai want to say that this was intentional, but it could be, it could not be. Someone said it does less damage than other pets? but at the same time, could this be making up for it?

It's unintentional, obviously. If it wasn't, I'm certain there would be a mention somewhere and not only affect one pet.Apaché wrote:ai want to say that this was intentional, but it could be, it could not be. S'ok. I understand! I wish Blizz would leave the harmless ones alone but as Kalle said, since it does extra dps, it should be removed. Had it not, then I'd say have a blast. It's a shame they punish all when it's only the few. :<Spiritbinder wrote:I know it's bad, but there is now a part of me that struggles with this. Ah, yes... I'd hoped to keep him quiet a bit longer due to his nifty little trick, but alas. Petopians always find out!
Anyway, he only does the acid bombs if he (or your current pet) is on top of the target when you cast stampede, if he has to run to it, he will not cast. The bombs he rains are not an aoe effect and will only be on the current target -- despite appearances of 'all over the place'.
