fire visual effect question for transmog

Unread post by Sukurachi »

I got a mail headpiece from the last boss in Molten Core for my hunter. It's really beautiful. Looks like his hair is on fire, very "Hunger Games".

now, I just happened to come across an identical cloth headpiece, from one of the bosses in Blackrock Depths. Farmed it for a couple days, and got it for my warlock. Beautiful looking.

What I'd like to know is, are there other items that give off a flame effect like that?

particularly shoulders.

most pictures I see when trying to search items for transmog just don't show clearly whether an effect moves or not.

OH

A second question... I got these beautiful mail shoulders in the raid in Zangarmarsh (forget the name). They have little electrical arcs that shoot out from them. I was wondering, is there a headpiece that has the same sort of electrical visual effect?

Can't come up with anything, but I recommend addon called MogIt (with i, not l). It shows all transmogable items in game, so you can build set with it and then check site Wowhead or something like that for where those items drop.

Fire shoulders:
Flickering Shoulders (Heroic)
Craterflame Spaulders (Heroic)
Pauldrons of the Devourer
Shoulders of the Groundbreaker Lava look but has blue flames
Coral-Barbed Shoulderpads
Volcanic Pauldrons No flame effect, but looks like lava

I don't remember any lightning helms for mail. Just those shoulders you mention.

thank-you for the suggestion Aggannor. I used to have Mogit, I removed it at one point because I wasn't concentrating on transmogging my gear that much. I should reinstall it.

And a big thank-you Wassa for all those great suggestions! a few I can even get, I have enough justice points.

I had thought that Helmet of Ten Storms had a lightning effect (like the shoulders do), but maybe not. See http://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=642 for it and related helms. There's quite a few. It might be worth checking out.

They have visual effect, but it's only so that your character's eyes start to glow with blueish mist.
