I guess I'm weird, I've always loved the Giantstalker set. XD Rhyela currently has a few bits of the re-colored version from BC, mixed with some Beaststalker. :)

There was another pretty green set I was going to try to get before I was lame and stopped playing.

Well, for this next patch, I'll certainly be farming honor for the pop set. I really do wonder what we'll see when we are finally up against Garrosh, but not gonna get my hopes up for a change in the pattern.

Dragonstalker and Gronnstalker are my favourite sets! Gronn looks awesome on a red female panda :)

Now if only my bow would drop for my dragonstalker look...grrr!

This is quite a worthwhile topic. While I'm not a fan of all the Hunter sets, I love that there's so much variety there. Something for everyone. Fun sets, and more serious sets. Some classes seem to get nothing but "serious" sets, some of which aren't horrible but still start to look kinda... generic.

My main is a shammy and I wish I liked the more recent ones of those as much as I like the hunter ones. The shammy ones... they may not be generic at least, but... I mean what is this supposed to be? Do the creators even know? "It's still lacking something... add more horn-branch-spike things!"

I was thinking it looked something like the old Celtic mythical figuers, the horned god, "horne" (Herne) the hunter...

But then I realized it looks somewhat like a (RL) Siberian or Mongolian shaman... National Geographic has been doing articles on them recently, here's one: http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2012/ ... stern-text

The real ones have more cords than horns though...

Those ARE all very cool inspirations. Thanks :) For this reason one of my very favourite shammy sets ever is the set from ICC with the shoveltusk helm and shoulders. It has a really strong primal shaman look and seems to have some real-world shaman inspiration. The new PvP set, however... kind of looks like someone in a fancy, expensive, very non-shaman robe had a load of ambiguous wood/horn things dumped on their shoulders.

Sorry for taking this off-topic though :)

Bit of a train derailment, but is it me or does it look like this guy superglued an owl to his beanie?

To me, it kind of looks like some mage was wearing a really fancy, ornate robe and had a flea market throw up all over him.

I don't think there's even any glue involved. I think the owl actually just landed on his head and then died, while the shaman-guy was procrastinating about removing it.

Maybe after all those mushrooms and, er, "incense", he hasn't realized yet ;)

That's likely enough mocking of a spiritual leader's garb.

But yes Wain, your PVP set does look like you were on the dumping end of a pile of sticks and antlers...

Seriously, this is THE set that made me promisse myself to get my baby panda shammy to lvl 90 before the next pvp-season ends - just to be able to get this one for honor, for mogs. I absolutely adore it, just as I adored the the Frostwitch or DS ones...

To each their own I guess :lol
