Well that didn't take long - Reins of the Vitreous Stone Dra

So after the few weeks of farming the holiday mount (which never dropped). I asked myself what I should farm up next... And I said to myself "Self you don't have one of those stone drake mounts yet, go farm one!"

So I set my sights on [Reins of the Vitreous Stone Drake] now with that being said I had never run Stonecore before, or mainly any cata dungeons...
Anyway, I ran in on my Dwarf Hunter Alphablade took out the 1st boss and then the 2nd... no drop...
Went in on my Troll Hunter Tuskenhunter, that and I would rather farm on him due to the fact he's low on cash... same thing ran in, but did the entire run, no drop... 2nd run... no drop, 3rd was the same... 4th run I had a BoE mace drop... cool extra cash! 5th run... I was bored with the way it was supposed to be run so I ran it this way, skipped Millhouse, passed his 2nd gpack, and took out the 3rd, then back tracked to the 2nd pack, which also pulled the 1st with Millhouse, and that same BoE dropped... fastfoward >> I get to the dragon, take it down again, loot it... AND BaM!!! the [Reins of the Vitreous Stone Drake]!!!

Cool I got a rare mount after 6 total runs on this account... now I gotta find something else to farm...

oh and by the way I decided to farm Altairus for [Reins of the Drake of the North Wind]

Thats awesome congrats! I was thinking of farming this for myself. Did you run this on heroic or regular?

Damn grats!! That's one heck of a drop rate for you! I lost count around the 150 mark for that guy, was running it daily for a few times on my DK at level 85, and finally got it not long before MoP came out - was one happy camper!

Vortex took me half as long thank goodness. That next on your list Rex or you already have him?

wow thats some luck! Took me 224 runs (i counted lol!) on my hunter to get mine. Was more relief then anything when it dropped (by far my fav stone drake - love it more then my Aeonaxx mount). VP one only took 71 which was a surprise as I don't have much luck with short farm runs lol! Gratz again and enjoy your lovely new mount

I'm at 8 runs now... no drop yet, and due to my new job I dont get to farm much unless its my night off
