As for the raptors name...

I'd go for something that fits your toons race.
If you're playing orc or troll, a name like Ironjaw, Fang, Bloodtalon or something like that would fit nicely.

Hmm... Well a raptor is a dragon in a sense. Lizardish type. Lesse... Doragon is simple but it means dragon in japanese. I like that one.

Hmmm... I never played a night elf before... I dunno what names they use...

I'd go for some night elvish name. Something like Broll, Desdel, Valstan or Shandra.
Maybe the "orcish" way of naming a pet works for nightelves too!
As long as it fits your taste, it's a good name.

Dromaeosaurus is a raptor family so maybe Dromae?

In WoW, dragon names are usually strasz, likeLaurenstrasz, kaelestrasz and similar.
