Pet tat
Yup, I got a tat inspired because of my WoW pet, LoL. My cam is acting up, but I will put a pick up when I can. This is what it looks like though. Gotta love my little Giggler

Re: Pet tat
Well.. It's an awesome tat but.... Sure it was a good idea to get a tat inspired by a game that you might not ever touch again in a few years?
Much thanks to Saturo for the awesome signature.

Re: Pet tat
Neat tattoo, but my feelings are similar to Helio's. Tattoos are'nt to be taken lightly, as they'll be with you for the rest of your life.
I also exist on DeviantArt.

Re: Pet tat
yha I was thinking the same thing...good news is its not like a wow model its a tribal so you can play it off in the future, unlike the guys who had the horde and ali symbols tatted on their backHelio wrote:Well.. Re: Pet tat
That's amazing. Not too WoW-ish to be associated with, but nicely stylised so it doesn't look like a real hyena. =) I LOVE tribal designs too, it's splendid! <3

Re: Pet tat
Very nice work! And I agree with Tyuriwen, it's not so clearly WoW that it'll necessarily be awkward in 10 years. You really have to wonder about the people that get their toons in tier armor on their biceps. I mean, I can't even commit to a WoW poster of my toon because I know she won't look the same in a month... LOL!
Anyway! Really nice work, beautiful lines.

Re: Pet tat
Gorgeous tattoo! I love it. ^^
As for the subject of getting WoW tattoos, I honestly don't see a problem. I'm planning on getting the Horde symbol and I wouldn't regret it at all. Even if the game ceases to exist years down the road, I'll remember how it was a big part of my life for a long amount of time. I enjoy WoW and I have so many great experiences due to it. Even if the game goes away my memories will always be there and the tattoo would be a reminder of those good times.

Re: Pet tat
Yeah, the game is huge to you now and unless you get the amnesia you'll probably remember it fondly, so I don't think it matters if eventually you stop playing or the game stops existing. Besides, it's very stylized anyway. Hyenas are grand in RL or WoW.

Re: Pet tat
Actually, I really dug hyenas before I even came across Giggler in the wild, LoL. I was planning to get it anyway, even if I couldn't get a pet hyena. Love all the feedback though

Re: Pet tat
I have a tattoo that I designed (well, it wasn't 100% my work but I pulled a few ideas together...anyway), and it incorporates some stuff from Legend of Zelda - mainly Ocarina of Time. I basically took the colors of the three stones in the beginning (green, red and blue), what they stood for (courage, power and wisdom), and got the placement from which piece of the Triforce each character had (Link, Ganondorf and Zelda).
So what it is is a tiger (my favorite animal) with a tribal design around it, with the Chinese words for Wisdom in blue on the left, Power in red on the top, and Courage in green on the right.
And while it's a game I haven't played in years, I've always been a fan of the Legend of Zelda series. And the elements aren't obvious, but I know what they mean. I don't regret my tattoo at all, and I don't think I ever will. It's part of who I am in a unique art form, and I love it.
But enough about mine. Your hyena looks awesome, great job!!!
