Beast in lore but unseen as of yet.

Unread post by Tygamoon »

So I was reading some stuff on the blizz forums and decided to follow a link to the wowwiki and read up some about King Varian Wrynn.
Now as I was following the little names on his page learning all sorts about him and other characters (isn't it great how you can get lost in there with all that lore? ) when I came across this http://www.wowwiki.com/Couatl. I've got a pretty good mental image of what it is from reading about the Quetzalcoatl.

Now I know that this may seem to fit in better at the pet discussion forums but I figured that there were plenty of posts suggesting the next spirit beast. I'm posting it here for all you awesome art peoples to take a gander at and maybe get some inspiration.

By the way, I loooooved that plain strider combo Phoenix that was done before. Totally want to tame that!

Apologizes if there is something like this already.

Those are the flying units of the Naga in WC3. They seem to have been dropped from lore, though, as there has been no mention of them outside two levels in WC3.

Cata would be a good as time as any to throw them back in as mounts/hunter pets, Blizz.

Well, she was more of a God, like Hakkar was... I think the beast mentioned here would be somewhere inbetween...

These are normal animals that Naga tamed to have a flying unit in WC3! They do not exist in any official lore outside of WC3!¨
Why are you guys comparing them to loa?

Because the drawing looks like the Serpent Goddess to my untrained eyes. :)

*Looks*

Oh yeah! They're not loa tough, they're more like an animal. They do look stunningly much like windserpent loa, like Hakkar (not a loa) and that evil thingie in Z'D.

Not true. I've had this happen... sometimes just me and a dragonhawk... sometimes just me and a wind serpent... sometimes all three of us...

And NONE of the offspring were like that.

Just sayin'.

Ryno knows, since he is both the offspring and the parent.

Normally I'd have something witty and cunning to reply to this. However, facts is facts.

Hmm, if they launch emerald dream it's possible they can dump these back in. It's make a lovely twisted version of the wind serpent.

Too true, too true.

Also these creatures look pretty cool...and I agree it looks like that deity in ZD, the one that traps you in his/her nightmare world for a while.

She doesn't trap you! You travel to her personal hell, to help her take her followers there pretty much... and in return she gives you cookies!

Pro Tip: Don't eat the cookies.
