So I had a lecture today about female representation in video games and it was pretty good. But one slide popped up showing a bar chart comparing female and male Horde/Alliance and class ratios, so basically we were looking at what classes and which faction female players seem to prefer. (Of course, hunters and druids were the popular ones.) But when the lecturer asked if there were any female WoW players in the room, without even waiting for her to finish the sentence, I shot my hand in the air. I was sad to see only one other woman in the room played and she seemed too shy to talk but I was so happy and willing to speak when the lecturer started to ask me, in front of the whole theatre, what faction I played, what class, etc. And apparently she found it odd that I play a warrior as well as a hunter. I dunno that lecture has made my day. xD

Edit: More happy things! I just finished watching KotN and I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet but the ending made me happy. (: I didn't necessarily want that winner to win but I do think she deserved the title as well and it made me so happy to see her being happy like that! But the little 'be who you are' speech at the end made me feel a little more confident in my nerdy self. (':

Well, thankfully I didn't need a new gas tank in my Jeep after all! I was so worried because I'd had it less than a month and I thought my bad Jeep luck was returning again. I just bought an '06 Liberty on February 7th and started having odd gas/evap issues like four days later.

But, apparently it was the NVLD (natural vacuum leak detector) that went on the fritz and I believe surged the PCM ("computer", basically) and shorted a driver. Something like that. So, they had to replace the NVLD as well as fix the PCM. The dealership I bought it from was kind enough to pay half the bill even though, technically, I bought it as-is and the warranty only covered major powertrain stuff for 30 days.

Yes, I was upset and it shouldn't have gone poopy on me so soon after buying it, but I didn't buy the extended warranty and they could have been sticklers on it if they had wanted. But, without knowing it I had spoken to the owner's son (found out later who he was) and he promised to have their neighboring Jeep dealership check it out and pay half the cost.

So, I was originally quoted $1,600 for a new gas tank (since that's what we all thought was wrong). The total for this repair came to $800-something, therefore I only had to pay $400. It sounds like a lot, but it's a huge blessing considering I was about to have to ask my grandmother for a loan if it had been any higher than that.

I filled it with gas right after I picked it up, so worried that it was going to spew it back out at me again and I'd have to take it right back, but thankfully I filled the tank without incident. Whew! Hopefully this will last me for a long while now.

I missed driving it so much this week, and I'm soooo glad to have it back! <3 my Jeep!

Won $100 in an art show. I'm pretty dang happy, as I was one of only a few to get an award. Little teensy bit upset about who won the Senior Portfolio award, though... She's my best friend and she does good art, but... but... not top prize art.

And not top prize art TWICE. She's won first place in two shows now, and while she deserves to win, her art is not yet first place material. Mine isn't either, not saying it is. But I'm really learning to never trust judges, because I can never agree with them at all. They like to choose what's the most "Arty" and disregard everything else, so a crappy painting that's really out there and arty is considered better than a gorgeous but slightly less designer art. It seems like they're trying way too hard to show how super sophisticated they are, and they choose low quality art because of it.

That's most art snobs in general. Modern art and all that jazz.

Anyway I still think you'd make a killing selling your stuff at shows. Hell if people buy my stuff then they'd buy yours as it's way better XD

I'M STILL SQUEEING OVER THE FACT I HAVE A BIG BROTHER NOW I ALWAYS WANTED A BIG BROTHER I DID I DID I DID AND... what. This makes no sense. Why am I so happy about it?! He sees me like his younger sister, I'm a tad older than him but he's taller and kinda looks older I guess and idk it seems to make sense... I think it's because I used to think, honestly, I had a crush on him. Which was like... destroying my life cause I have a boyfriend and I love him, I really do, I always did. But now I've figured it out.

There's a difference between the way you love a special someone and the way you love a friend... but the way you love a sibling is also different. And that's how I feel about him.
... I don't think he even knows I'm this happy about something so small. xD
It's so silly it makes no sense but it's awesome... it really is... ;____________________;

I helped someone learn how to tame a Direhorn today. They asked me if you could tame one and did not know about the book so I showed them.

I finally got an egg today from one of the small gold colored Direhorns. This after 2200 bones were collected. I was so happy I bought the Spectral Porcupette with 999 of my bones. I'm hoping for the Black mount but I'll be happy with any of them. The only raptor mount I have now has no skin at all. :D

God I have a huge grin ear to ear, this person really had me push boundries I never in my life attempted with art and through all the desperate wishing the piece would get done already, I kept trudging on, making sure it was as perfect as I could possibly make it and they were completely amazed at the work and gave me tons of praise. XD Feels so nice to have someone appreciate your work like that, this thing was being dragged on for like a month cause I was just so flooded with homework and workshops out at the employment center and other enormous art requests. It was well worth the wait though. Definitely.
