Unsurprisingly, I choose #3 for the second poll.

My choice would be:

2. A little smaller than the current Dire Beast.

But I think I'd be really happy with option 3 as well.

Hm, the system seems to have tossed my post in the bit bucket. Oh well... Take 2.

I finally got to see Wain's video (it seemed to be broken for the first couple of days, maybe from tons of views). In the meantime I looked up recent pterosaur finds and got to see a variety of sizes and shapes. Our pterrorwings look like a mishmash of the more recently-discovered big ones. :) That Brazilian one looks like it was made to catch fish with that spiky beak, really similar to gavials and amazon dolphins.

And Zhinru, yes it's possible the devs were making a reference to the AD&D Summon Monster Spell and got beavers and badgers mixed up, but I'd rather it was a Canuck who was familiar (pun intended) with that ad, since it would increase the possibility of beavers eventually becoming tameable.

Fair enough, I WAS grasping at straws in the end.

#3 - I didn't realize the dire beast version was so huge! Usually I only see them at a distance.

I was actually really sad we weren't able to tame one... same with the beavers in Jade forest... especially when they show up in Direbeast.

... I don't think I've ever heard a hunter say that. I've heard other players complaing there are too many things hunters can tame.. but never a hunter... I know every one is entitled to their opinions... but part of being a hunter is the thrill of hunting and taming new pets. I made a new baby hunter so that I can actually be able to tame more when she is big enough as well.... since we don't have enough slots to keep pets.

Stick around the forum; it's been said before and will be said again. :) Everyone is entitled to their opinions, of course, in either direction. Things get messy when passionate arguments are made in an attempt to change others' minds - something that we should all keep in mind around here.

mmhmm I know how that is... we had a druid in our guild... you couldn't say anything aobut druids with out him going into a rant about how much blizzard hates druids and that if you didn't play like he did you were doing it wrong... for example in cata putting a point into tree form he said it reduced his healing.... and called my friend stupid for having two druids (she has a worgen boomy/resto and a nelf bear/kitty).
