Nope, I seriously doubt it.. This was the same thing for the Swift Windsteed, non-stone Direhorn and Pterrorwing mounts, Heavenly Cloud Serpents, flying clouds, etc. They make loads of colors and we only get one.
Well, two if you count the Horridon drop and the rep one.
No, not that. He said that, when watching the model, it actually automatically/actively shifted between colorations, not that he had to select a skin a time.
I love the idea and I'm ok with the model but it would of been nice for it to be a little more streamlined in the face and have no neck er, webbed frilly things. and definitely smaller eyes. Seriously, the faerie dragons don't have massive round puppy eyes. They have large eyes in comparison to their heads, but their oval. And they got rid of the crest on the neck that goes down their backs and partially their tail too, as well as their strange feather-design ears. :/
I do think it looks better without the admittedly silly armour. If this and the bat are in fact the Grand Wyvern/Grand Gryphon of 5.3, then they'll have unarmoured versions, so hurray!
I really don't like the headpiece it has... Makes it look like a grandma.

It would be nice if they had stuck with the "full wing" butterfly look, instead of the "stop at the elbow" crap they do for every dragon. It always looks so weird to me.
I think this mount is gorgeous and I love that it changes colors! Not everything's going to be for everyone, but I think this is really neat. I love seeing something so different turn up.

THIS! ^ Its so different. I love its little headgear its very How to Train Your Dragon imo! I absolutely love the chameleon color changing.
Oh man. I've always been a huge fan of the faerie dragons and wondered if they'd ever see this kind of light. Though, I'm not sure what I think of this mount yet, besides that it screams "store mount" to me in all kinds of ways. x)
On a more personal note; I would greatly prefer if they gave the 'obligatory armoured version for mount purpose' a break. They did that way too much in cata. The stone drakes had armour and the wind drakes had armour. :C Also, I don't think a man-made artificial armour fit on a faerie drake anyway? Aren't they supposed to be these.. very in tune with nature sort of sprite things?
LupisDarkmoon wrote:Oh mah goodness, I'm dying for this mount already. DEFINITELY screams "Store mount" to me, but I'd so get it anyway.
not gunan lie I'm kinda hoping that thid id what it truly is, I can afford that, but if its an achievement mount with the very limited time I have it would definately take me quite long to bag myself one.
I'm also hoping it's a store mount. I don't exactly have tons of spare money, but I can save up for it. If it's a raid or raid achievement mount, it's completely out of my grasp, which would be tragic because I love it so much. It's so clean and detailed... and adorable!

There's nothing worse than having an amazing mount ruined by seeing 15 people all flying around on it in Stormwind or Orgrimmar.
What makes store mounts mundane to many is that any old chum with $20 can get one. There's no skill involved, and purchasing things for real-world money is looked down on by some.
These will probably be reputation rewards from the 5.3 Alliance. So I guess everyone wins.
well, they are only everywhere for a short bit. Look at that aspect dragon, first month or so that was all I could see people on, now they are all on cloud serpents. Hardly see any of the kirin mounts now. Its like new pets, you see em everywhere then people revert back to their favorites.

...I'm sorry but I do find your statement completely offense. I work in the real world for money to afford the mounts/things I buy from the store(that isnt to say people who can grind in WoW dont deserve rewards too). I have just as much right to nice things as someone who has time to grind the rep and do the raids when I really dont that often. The fact you dictate theres no skill involved also makes it seem that you think that people who have store mounts lack skill which is also quite offensive. Bottom line is that if you really LOVE the mount you dont CARE who looks down on you for buying it, I sure dont. I ride my Heart of the Aspects all over the place and to hell if someone else has him too, good for them. In the grand scheme of things you should NEVER look down on someone because they buy something from the store, its just plain rude. You never know that may be the only truly cool mount they can get, and they shouldnt be judged for it.
