Heck, I wouldn't be all that surprised if in the next expac we had relative peace if not even teamwork to face the burning legion when they return.
This is getting really exciting.

Eh bound to be not full on peace or teamwork I'd say. Still most likely a lot of people on both sides who still hate the other side and all that jazz.

He's the old god the mantid worshiped. All seven of his heads.
Oh boy. A titan construct and an old god coming to life. Not good. Not good.
Each of the sha were the heads. Now pride is making an appearance.
I think killing the sha is what is awaking the old god.
What do you thing?
Oh! Oh oh! I really like this theory!
...It doesn't help that I'm addicted to old gods. But really, this is a cool idea!
That makes sence to me! Like killing them makes them merge together so when we kill the 7th one boom out pops a old god! Anit there also one under the sea too?
I expect the expansion not to end on Siege of Orgrimmar like they previously announced. Keeping in line with their deadlines, 5.4 is due out in ~September.
That would mean the xpac would have to be announced before then and beta started sometime in October. I don't see that happening.
The fact the Mists of Pandaria were actually the manifestation of the Sha of Pride from Emperor Shaohan was a nice twist.
And Y'shaarj is coming back - listen to his sound files. He says he was "merely sleeping." Apparently, he was not killed by the Titans like everyone - even them - believed.
Could we see a 5.6 raid focused on the Mantid and Y'shaarj perhaps? (Plans change, and I don't see Mists ending like 2-3 months and a year after release)
Seeing as we have a Old god based on eyes and another based on mouths what will this one be based on? That is if they are going to still stay with this theme that is. Noses? Hair? Peepees? Ears? Pants cats? Bottoms? Arms? Legs? Murlocs?
Based on what the Mantid said, Y'shaarj had 7 heads. Chances are he's full heads.
However, it's also speculated Y'shaarj is the old god mentioned by the Puzzle Box of Yogg'Saron "Have you had the dream again? A black goat with seven eyes that watches from the outside."
Which would make sense with the revelation he isn't actually dead - he's been watching from the "Outside", because no one knew he was alive.

We expect the expansion announcement at this year's Blizzcon, which is November. Beta can start soon after and take until spring 2014. It's unlikely but conceivable.

Why not? He's run his course.
I think if he does die it will be from a NPC and not us in like a cut scene or something. I dunno it just seems like that'll happen to me.
Edit: I guess I should explain before someone goes "but we are gunna fight him! etc etc" I mean yeah we get him to low health and then like a cut scene happens and a npc kills him.

Fair point - taking bets on who gets the killing blow, then! There are a number of wonderful candidates from both sides and even some neutral parties....
Betting on Vol'jin, or at least hoping for him. He called dibs and everything! Though at this point I'm honestly not too fussy about who takes him down as long as he goes down at all.
Thanks to Vephriel for the beautiful signature! <3 Dragon Cave!
Voting for Vol'jin. xD I love the troll leader. Syl is a maybe, but I'm worried about her. Lor'themar has his hands full, but we could see him in the end. c: I'd like to see Thrall. I don't think Gallywix will show, and I really don't like the goblin leader. >.>;;; I'm sure Baine will be there cause he's helping. This'll be a fun expansion. Revolution!!!!! xD
What is all that talk? You're all class traitors, you hear me!? ( ) The only warchief we can now have is Rexxar, and he should be taking Garrosh down with Chen and Vol'jin.
horde side I could see Vol'jin or Baine doing the deed. If we're talking alliance i think Varian deserves a punch..or two..or three considering..well..
It's like daring someone to go insult a bunch of kindly old nuns. You'll wind up going back to your friends with a story about how they smiled at your insults and tried to give you cookies, or something.
