Weird Cough

So I've had this weird cough for over a year now, I say its weird because it just randomly pops up most of the time, a cough here and there. But if I laugh I start coughing like like there is no tomorrow and if I'm laying down at the time my throat closes and all I can do is make a funny whistling sound (scared my BF half to death a few times, he doesn't tickle me anymore ). When the fits get going I cough so much that I more or less stop taking in air and turn colors. I have an inhaler but it doesn't seem to work unless I use it around 5 times. I have been to the doctor a dozen times or more about it but all they do is run tests and give me more inhalers. So I'm not sure what to do, should I just live with it and hope no one kills me with a joke? Kinda at my ropes end, any help would be nice.

No not asthma, that was the first test I took. My lungs don't have any fluid in them. It's like the snowball effect sometimes when I cough, it just starts and keeps going....and doesn't stop until my chest can't seem to keep up, doesn't matter where I am (some nurse once said it sounded like Reactive Lung, but they didn't find anything on the x-rays).

Hmm. I can't really think of anything, but it sounds really painful. I have asthma, hence why I asked, to see if there was anything I could relate it to, of own experience. xD Allergies? Where do you live, and whats your season/current weather like?

Well I've had it over a year now and its a constant thing (I cough everyday but don't always have fits), and I live in Arizona (yay dry heat).

Well that could matter.. Try the doctor again, if there's no results there, go for a second opinion elsewhere. It's possible that you may have developed an allergy for something or another.

They did the allergy test (twice I think) and still nothing. I started the coughing in the car with my grandma, I turned purple after coughing for a few min (not joking there I did turn purple) and she took me to an urgent care place. They said both my ears had inner ear infections (thats when they took my blood, my b-12 dropped to 0 and my Vitamin D was, at its lowest, 12) a lot of other stuff was off too but thats what I remember most, that and my grandma telling me I should be dead . Anyways after a few months of clearing that mess up and the infections moving to my outer ear, I finally got more or less back to normal. Except I'm still coughing.

ProAir HFA this one is the one I keep with me all the time, Symbicort this one I take one puff in the morning and at night (I hate it, it tastes terrabad and makes my head feel funny).

I have symbicort too. I agree on the taste, but it works.

Yeah, the other one isn't too bad, I just think I need a stronger one. 3-5 times a fit is a bit too much and I hear they can give you heart problems.
