Is it safe to use Oil Skinned Wolf?

As the title asks, how safe is it to use the Oil Skinned Wolf?

I know like you couldn't do arenas with them? But what about normal pve raiding?

I love my wolf and would like to use it but at the same time really don't want him to lose his lovely coat.

Raiding should be fine, the only issue I have heard of is with a "sha goat".

You're perfectly safe. he retains the oil on death. the only thing is don't being him into arenas. everything else will be fine. how i envy you >:( i lost my oil and lone hunter by taking them into arenas by mistake:( my friend qued us on the last day for arenas by mistake, and when i joined it cleared the effect.
