Actually had another rant: Invited some friends to our new guild with the prospect of raiding casually and they both brought hunters! Thats fine, I didnt say what toons they had to/should bring but one said he was going to bring a Dk and now we have 3 hunters...which is abit much for a 10man team so guess who has to be flexible? Yep me. When i questioned that he was going to bring a dk I got the 'can't afford to move another' line. Great. So now my main and most geared toon (that i love and enjoy) now has to take a backseat when we do start raiding.
I will add no one is making me switch but no one else has offered to play another class/toon either...so I either switch for the betterment(sp?) of the new team or no one gets to raid I have an odd feeling of guilt for being angry too like maybe im being petty wanting play my main? I dunno guess i'll just suck it up and gear my druid....
I think it's unfair for them to expect YOU to just drop your DK or hunter. Maybe talk to them about changing roles? Like, you tank one week, he gets the next?
As for my rant... Yes, your professor's response to your request to talk about a letter of rec was terse. I am sure this is no reason to panic and 'no' won't kill you. Okay?

All I can say from experience raiding is that if you have to count on someone else to switch characters, you're going to be disappointed. By the end, I understood where my RL/BF was coming from on that.
I don't have a specific rant; just a general grumbliness hanging over me at the moment. Hate that feeling.

Pretty much the reason I did agree to gear my bear. Esp since its a tank role and you pretty much can't raid without a reliable tank...I might insist tho that i get to swap to my hunter on occastion and give one of them a night off if they can't be flexiable. That isn't unreasonable is it? I kinda don't want to upset ppl as they are my friends afterall!

*nods understandingly* I wouldn't count on it actually happening, though - as long as you're prepared for them to be selfish and not swap to be fair, then you're good to go. Mind you, I hope this cynical point of view is completely wrong in this case! Just...yeah, I wouldn't count on it. :/
I can agree with Kalli. I've had the same experience. My fiance was forced to tank even though he told them he hated it and preferred to DPS. I was forced to have a boomkin spec cause we always lacked ranged, even though I did much better dps as a cat....
Friend wants to see Iron Man 3 again. So do I. We both have friends that haven't seen it yet, ask if they want to see it too, they say yes and that Friday (today) would be great. I say I can't really do Friday because I have an assignment due in today I need to work on. Friend can't see it on Saturday cause she's going home for the weekend. Friend tells them specifically, "NOT to go on Saturday, go on Friday, else I can't see." Everything she worded from here on in sounded so bloody selfish. And when I questioned it, all I got was chat back! She acted so fucking bitchy about it! It's really not like her at all. I don't think she realised to be honest that she was sounding as selfish as she was but even so. She basically didn't give a shit that I couldn't go with them to see it, but it doesn't matter as long as SHE gets to see it again.
I honestly wouldn't give that much of a damn if it wasn't for the fact my best friend is going. I really wanted to see it with him. But because she DEMANDED they go today, I can't see it with him.
Well fuck you too then. I'll remember to go see a film you want to watch when you're not around or don't have the time to go.

But she constantly copies me and tries to make my interests hers and then say she loves what I do more than I do.... Especially with certain characters like Loki. <3

Oh I feel you. My friend is like that too. Completely selfish with everything pertaining to anything we like. For instance. I love GoT and for Christmas she didn't get me anything but she gave me HER GoT calender she had drawn all over.(I loved GoT first she jumped on my band wagon). She gave me that... After I bought her a Batman belly button ring because she loves Batman so much and she couldn't even give me something that didn't once belong to her. /roll eyes.

I'd go see it with you except I live in the US and we're the last people that's gonna see it. Everyone else got the April 25th date....US doesn't get it until May 5th.....which royally pisses me off, especially since MARVEL was made in the US. (obviously not mad at you. XD Kinda a reply mixed with a rant)

Aye it's very annoying. I'm just happy I at least know a date for the new Thor movie(Loki on my birthday EEEEE <3). Sadly don't think I can afford to go see Iron Man 3 yet because of my own rant. Money why you no here? I work. Why I only have 100 dollars to my name.

There's a grand total of two people who actually understand that 99% of the time I shout about something, it's not anger but ranting. Ranting is not anger!
Most anger is unnecessary and venting is an extremely required thing to keep anger from bottling up and spilling out in terrible amounts.
I guess it's a good thing one of those people is my significant other.
But sure I mean go ahead and keep assuming that I'm angry at something all the time despite every time I or someone else has stated it's the opposite; it just reaffirms to me that as usual no one is listening to me and I should stop repeating myself in futility.
@Doctress - Woo! That's a nice birthday present. I saw the trailer and I had to change my pants. I doubt I'm the only one. And monies be a cruel mistress...and very elusive.
