I just have to ask, how often is it that an arena match lasts longer than 1 minute? I honestly don't know, but the times I've done it they last about 30 to 40 seconds, ending in either my swift death, and a close victory.

Hunter-healer matches have been known to go full duration sometimes. Depends on the team composition and gear level (and opponents' gear level/comp). Not sure what the case is currently; haven't been in there in ages.

When I decide to do 2's for cap with our disc priest, matches will go on forever if we get in with a similar team. Since then I've decided to just have him roll shadow so we can have faster matches, instead of waiting to see who fall asleep first.
