Patch 5.4 PTR - Build 17056

Looks like people REALLY jumped the gun.

The official PTR patch notes that just went up are lacking a severe amount of the datamined changes. Damage changes, I mean.

Yeah I was just looking at that too ahaha.

Idk these datamined images/mounts/bosses/battle pets are still interesting. We'll probably have to wait quite a bit to see how things play out in terms of buffs and nerfs.

Oh gosh I HOPE those mounts are obtainable....that horse is amazing!!! (and not some crazy hard pvp/chieve...happy to grind rep from here to enternity for them!!)

Edit: I've just had a look at other pvp set, and I've got to say that the monks and priests got some good stuff The shaman and the warlock one are quite good, too, going for quite iconic looks.

I wonder if those Paragpns are the same ones we saved, or if they are some other paragons that we did not rescue, and were instead claimed by Sha/Garrosh.

What I'm wondering here now is if Garrosh is corrupted, that he might not actually die, instead he'll get cleansed by Thrall at the end, and Thrall will give us a few parting trinkets... Bah.

Oh wow i didnt even think of that but your right garrosh is indeed using a new skeleton...doesnt confirm its going to be the new player orc skeleton but that is a possibility.

they are, indeed, "our" paragons. Other than that, the fight seems to be pretty crazy. Suddenly, I can't wait to see it (and spend hours upon hours wiping on it in LFR )

As for Garry's new model, I've noticed his new mimics - well on par with Thrall's. I also hope that the new orc model would be more Thrall-shaped than Garrosh-shaped. He's too much of a hulking behemot to me, even for an orc.

At this point I wouldn't expect any. We don't really have any new lands to discover, so it will be a pleasant surprise if we get some, but don't get your hopes up.

Nah. True. I went a bit overboard, but the emote animations really are a good indication. The new Garrosh models' talk, clap, etc are waaaay different, and the dance is smoother too as well as all other animations. I'm sure it has something to do with the new skeletons, if just a prototype. I don't see why else they would give him better-looking animations, especially when it's animations that he will likely not use. Like dance, rofl.

Just pick a few animations to check. The /slash emotes are the most noticeable, like /talk and /gasp.

5.4 ilevels aren't finalized but we're thinking something like 528 LFR, 536 Flex, 553 Normal, 566 Heroic.

Virtual Realms... anyone else just a tad annoyed since they just spent a chunk of change transferring toons? Sneaky of Blizz to do this that way. Underhanded even.

I wonder how they are going to manage those. Will severely imbalanced servers be impacted for the low-pop faction? or just dead realms? Will you be able to talk cross-realm?

If those ilvls go live, I will be cancelling my account the second 5.4 hits.

Why?

I'm in Shado-Pan Assault gear. 522s. Upgraded, that's 530.

If the new LFR is ilvl528, there is absolutely no reason for me to run LFR, no incentive, no actual content. I will be done with WoW for this expansion.

528 is fine for LFR.

But 536 seems low for flex, when it's supposed to be in between LFR and Normal if normal is 553.

That may be a hint of the difficulty level.
