If you want to try editing your post I'd say go for it just to try and make all the basic info available and more noticeable. And if anyone else has advice/tips/etc we can always add it there too.

So to collect more dragons I have to breed, fine eggs through gathering, buy them on the AH or have someone trade me dragons?

Guess I'll give breeding a try and see what comes out. A random pink and green mirror joined my team. Not the most desired colors for me, but I see some really neat possibilities on the breed thing.

Yes to your question.

Dragons can be obtained through breeding, buying them on the AH, you can buy species changes through the marketplace, eggs can be found via Scavenging and the Coliseum, and/or trading them with another player (for another dragon or treasure).

I've got four eggs that will be hatching in 5 days. Can't wait to see what colors come out from them! It's much more exciting than breeding on DC just because you get eggs, but you have no idea what will come out of them. DC you see the egg and know what breed and what it will look like (color wise).

Are the things like Iridescent and Shimmer a trait that can be found(very rare)and taught, or can dragons/offspring randomly come with it? I see there are traits you can buy so I wasn't sure if those were the same or not.

The dragon that I just got had a shimmer put on it so it was a gene that was bought.

Yes, Makoes, my progenitor Chapel (she's a mirror) is obsidian primary, crimson secondary and mulberry Tertiary. Combined with Vincent's black, crimson and shadow, the results are narrowed down to black or obsidian bodies, always crimson wings and a choice of two tertiaries.

So, if you'd be willing to bring him over for stud (taking one of my dragons as collateral of course) in a few months (I need to breed her to my tundra first, so I can give Nefretiti her little baby as repayment for Caled!), we could hope for a clutch of at least three, one for you, me and Veph!

I belive there is gene altering thingies on the gem marketplace under speciality
I think you can get some through treasure too but generally it costs a fortune

she was originally an adorable little tundra but I caved in and used my breed change token, I am thinking of using her as a mate for Cap and Chinook once she grows up.

Capriccio has a 30 day breeding cooldown so it'll be awhile before I can breed him.

I'm thinking of breeding Hyann with my spiral Chinook once they can breed, 14 days on the pearl and 17 on the spiral.
