Trinket Question

I did LFR part 3 and 4 with Guild and I got both trinkets I wanted. I got Rune of Re-Origination and Talisman of Bloodlust. I find Talisman of Bloodlust procs often, and it's a nice trinket. However, according to Female Dwarf. If I replace it with Rune of Re-Origination I gain +0.92% dps (+1,150.03 ). The problem is, I was reading that it can take away stats to give you a higher stat buff. Is it worth keeping ?

From everything I've read, the Rune's effect of bringing all the other minor stats down to 0 is hardly worth it, and can give a minor dps buff at beast, hurt you very bad at worst.

Assuming crit is your highest stat:
- with 0 haste you get focus starved and your steady/cobra casts last forever
- with 0 mastery your pet can tell the boss how bad he is and how he should feel ashamed of himself

The 0 haste, specifically, suddenly distrupts your rotation/rhytm on proc, and thus can make you loose dps by simply not switching to the new one fast enough/not being used to it. Too much hassle for a not-nearly-100% probably very minor gain.

Maybe for some other class, for which the other stats are less beneficial/they don't care about them at all, it works better. Hunters need some of all of the stats (especially since lately haste has been found even more beneficial than crit on higher ilvls, and mastery, even if the worst of the 3, still means much), and for us the stats have a good synergy with each other.

The other thing here is that the best trinkets are actually Bad Juju and Renataki's Soul Charm. Those other two are better for other agi and melee classes.

Yeah I got the rune a week or so ago, and tbh for a hunter it's rubbish. It nerfs my dps despite the agility on it being better than my windswept pages trink, mainly because of the way it works when it procs.

Yep, generally our best trinkets are ones with some other stat and then agility procs, rather than base agility and some other proc.

(Highly annoyed with myself this week in raid, I rolled and won a TF neck from Horridon for mainspec, and then had to roll offspec for a TF Bad Juju and lost... and THEN realized the BiS neck was the Megera one, not the Horridon one.. /facepalm)

I've been lucky enough to get Bad Juju but Renataki's Soul Charm is holding out, at this point I'll end up losing it to a rogue when it finally drops haha. Such is our guild's luck. One of our healers has been trying forever for ANY ilvl of Horridon's Last Gasp and the game's just not having any of it.

Currently running Bad Juju and the Shado-Pan Assault trinket. That one's a good alternative if you can't get both the Jin'rokh and Council trinks.

And let me tell you, this tier is so badly itemized that I'm 2% over hit cap (1% over exp) and I just CANNOT REFORGE OUT OF IT ANYMORE. I look so bad and it's not even my fault! AskMrRobot looks at me and cries and gives up.

I had Rune of Reorigination for a while and figured I'd try to make it work with me for as long as it took to get either of the BiS ones. I ended up having to play tricks at the reforger to make crit my highest, and run Fervor talent so that when it procced I could make up for my haste by just refilling my focus for the duration. It worked out alright but it was really inconvenient.

Hit cap is a problem, but expertise can be too. Before I got rid of the valor bracers and Iron Q gun I was almost 3% over.. but now I'm 1% or so over on expertise...

Moral, don't vendor any 522 gear (or 502 if you are just doing LFR) as you made need to swap around a lot to manage hit and expertise.
