Re: More nerfs... and other changes.
Looks like they still are stuck on the "oh hunters have too many CC's" why not keep SS baseline but get rid of wyvern sting, not a lot of people use it outside of pvp atleast I don't lol and that's what they are usually complaining about anyways. At this point I don't care all I want is my silence shot. I am already deciding if I want to continue my subscription or not, just fed up really. Wow has lost quite a bit of appeal from me.

Re: More nerfs... and other changes.
So apparently, the legendary is a cape with a proc...
The agility/str dps one is: Flurry of Xuen: Your damaging attacks have a chance to trigger a Flurry of Xuen, causing you to deal 60% weapon damage to all targets in front of you, every 0.5 sec for 3 sec.
I have a strange feeling they, yet again, forgot all about hunters when itemizing the legendary reward. Hopefully it won't be too long until they fix it. The meta gem took a few PTR patches to be fixed.
Also, have we seen a single response from a CM about Hutia? I can understand their decision for Silencing Shot, but I cannot understand their decision to make a pet untameable solo.

Re: More nerfs... and other changes.
Not surprising given the latest round of tweets from GC. Apparently Hunters are in a good spot and we should rejoice! /sarcasm offAdamSavage wrote:They deleted the first thread.
Just in case anyone hasn't seen them, they can be found here: http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/329 ... News-Recap
Two points that I find rather ironic:
Stampede is intended to be a "DPS cooldown"
We are not allowed to have a baseline interrupt because it would be "too much cc", yet; SS is being tacked on to MM once more(Binding Shot switch 2.0)
I also can't tell if this is genuine confusion or snark:
"Please don't buff hunter's focus dump. PTR + T16 2pc will reduce value of special shots and homogenize specs.
Can you explain why it homogenizes specs?" As further down he seems all for the suggestion of buffing signatures for MM. I have no problem with MM being buffed to a viable raiding spec once more. However, it should not be done at the expense of stomping our other 2 specs into the ground. Maybe I'm just too cynical and have lost hope, but the response to Hunters seems largely dismissive and disingenious.

It's official, GC has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to the hunter class.

That or he really doesn't give a crap. His overall attitude indicates they don't care what we say, they will do what they please. If you don't like it, too bad.Nevish wrote:It's official, GC has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to the hunter class.

Not to mention, he tells warlocks sacrificing your pet should be a DPS loss, because it's a pet class, even if you don't have to manage your pet to keep it alive.AdamSavage wrote:That or he really doesn't give a crap. Then tells hunters that we should have to manage our pets. No, we shouldn't. They're horrible AI systems.

Re: More nerfs... and other changes.
He is really starting to get under my skin. He was being a overall nice person in general for awhile, and now it seems he is back to being the Jerk he was in Cata/late wrath. Though even with the nerfs, the hunter still has more tricks up it's sleeve then a shadow priest would. The biggest advantage is a pet that acts like your dps tank for you. Keeps the mobs off you. If you have a spirit beast, then it will also heal you.
We might not have official healing, but we have the animal blood talent which is very nice.

It just goes to show you that GC is even further out of touch then we all previously thought him to be.

Can I just sit here and groan? Please?
Also, why would you delete a thread giving feedback? Especially when most of it was very civil (which is a drastic change from what I've seen on the PvP forums)? I'm just not understanding what they're doing at all.

Re: More nerfs... and other changes.
Perhaps, but it prevents more people from getting a say in it and providing their own feedback. You don't get a balanced view, because people might've disagreed or brought up alternate solutions that you're now never going to get.
On top of that, it sends a message. Regardless of the intent behind it, it tells us that they don't really want to hear what we have to say.

I don't think it sends that message personally. I think that just depends on who your talking to really.

I think they deleted it because it reached the post cap, and was no longer relevant ?

Re: More nerfs... and other changes.
But not everyone is going to understand that. They're going to see that a thread, which had been discussing the problems with a class and offering solutions, got deleted. Likely, people who would've either posted in that thread or made their own will hold their hand. Why make a thread if it's just going to be deleted, after all.
The main problem was that there was no obvious reason for the thread to be deleted. Sure, if it'd been screaming profanities about how WoW was evil and yada, yada, yada, I could understand. But, from what I saw earlier today, this wasn't the case. It was a thread offering feedback. And, if I remember correctly, it was on the PTR forums! Which is exactly where that type of thread belongs! If there was an actual reason for the deletion, it would make more sense. Death threats to people who work for WoW, something. But just deleting a feedback thread? One that attempts to give constructive criticism? It seems shady to me, and it tells me they don't want to actually hear what we have to say on the matter. This is enforced by the fact that blues asked for more feedback and then... left the cap on the thread. Don't actually post in those threads and, when they do, it's a copy-paste response. These, to me, don't sound like the actions of people who are really listening.
If they deleted it because it reached the post cap, why not just remove the cap? The issue is still relevant, and people are still talking about it.

It does kinda look like they are trying to silence us, and sweep the matter under the carpet. Hope it goes away.. That might not be what they are trying to do, but either way. It does not look good for them..

Re: More nerfs... and other changes.
Regardless of the intentions/motives behind the deletion of the original thread, there still seems to be a wall in the way. That wall being, judging from tweets/posts, GC doesn't seem to see the issues the community has been providing feedback on(raid utility compared with damage output, spec homogenization, Stampede as a dps cd, etc.) as actual issues. Have there been any other devs that have spoke on the topic with a different perspective perhaps? Otherwise, I'm not sure how Hunters are supposed to scale such a wall.

Re: More nerfs... and other changes.
I believe the poster was implying that it would homogenize the specs more via their play style/rotation. If the focus dump (aka. Arcane Shot) was more of a DPS gain to use than hard casting Aimed shot during its Carful Aim Window, or Kill Command and Arcane shot equated to the same damage, all our rotations would become very similar due to Arcane shot taking priority over other currently different shot rotations among the classes specs.Tunderbrew wrote: I also can't tell if this is genuine confusion or snark:

This is a valid concern considering the hunter specs don’t have a lot of distinction between specs atm as it is. However… I find the way they present their concerns pretty detrimental to their own cause... “Don’t buff us plz!!!” Really?
In reality it would have been better presented but saying something like…
“The addition of the double focus cost and double damage from arcane feels like a step in the right direction, making our shots feel like they mean something. This has however left our signature shots feeling less important due to the new shift in priorities as sometimes their damage is rather comparable to that of arcane. Is there something we can expect/can be done to help shift back this priorities back toward our signatures a little more?
