Soulbound->Account Bound->Guild Bound?
and hopefully, there are some presently soubound items which will soon be B.Net account bound (I'm looking at you Spirits of harmony).
it could be an interesting move to make items of this sort tradeable between exalted members of a same guild as well.
Right now, there are members of my guild who only gather stuff, and they end up with stacks of soulbound items, exactly like Spirits of Harmony. Being exalted with the guild, it would be nice if they could actually feel useful and be able to trade those items to guild members who could put them to good use.
The same goes for dungeon/raid items that are soulbound. It would be nice if these could be traded by guild members to an enchanter in the guild who could then DE the items and make good use of it.
I think these inter-guild member trades should require exalted with the guild, so as to avoid people joining a guild for an hour or two only to get items traded to them. Blizz might even add a time requirement to the guild membership.
Anyway, just tossing an idea out there, to deal with an issue that has bugged me, and a few members of my guild, for a while.

Re: Soulbound->Account Bound->Guild Bound?
The crafting materials always have been soulbound to start to 1) force crafters into the world, and 2) prevent AH goblins and gold sellers from abusing it, especially early in an expac.
Large guilds could crush a server's AH as well if you put this in place.
There is the SOH trader, and you can trade for Golden Lotus, so at least there is a path there.
A realistic solution might be to make greens that are gathered not Soulbound, so they can be sent. But even then, right now people are farming the Panderia rares for the BOE epics to DE them. You could destroy the enchanting economy by adding that much more to the market.

I've had terrible luck on certain toons who require them for crafting... getting very rare drops. Meanwhile, I've had other alts with no crafting abilities at all get stacks of the darned things.
I have a guild member who has a "gatherer" alt, and that toon has stacks of Spirits of harmony, and no use for them at all.

There is a vendor to trade those in, specifically for Golden Lotus, which can be sold or traded.Sukurachi wrote:I guess my main complaint is those Spirits of harmony.

Once I get 20, I trade them all in and send to my alchemist jc, or I sell them.

some of my (and others') crafting toons simply aren't getting much drop on those, while we have toons who don't really need them for any crafting who ARE getting them.

Well, there you are running up against Blizz wanting crafting toons out in the world, and not sitting in Org/SW.Sukurachi wrote:as Makoes said, I don't need the OTHER materials... I need the Spirits.

If your crafter is 90, just do the farm... you can get 1.5 or so per day.

"crafter"?
I have one of each crafting profession that is at 600. most are in their high 80's. only 3 are 90.
the ONE I was able to get to the full farm + daily farming quests took me forever to get there.
I have difficulty imagining getting ALL of my alts to that point.

Yeah, I know.. I have 3 that are 85 that don't have access to the higher level stuff.Sukurachi wrote:Slickrock wrote: If your crafter is...
