The Beast not tamable?

I really tried to find the thread but couldn't. I swear I'm inept at searching. Was also way to tired to post this last night.

Was running a dungeon last night and low and behold I get the dungeon with The Beast in it. I've only ever seen him twice as a pet but this is the first seeing him in 'the wild' and full size. Talk about impressive. Snapped a quick shot before full blown attack. During the attack I cast beast lore on him and it said "Cannot Be Tamed". So is he tamable? I may try for him if we get our stable slots before Cat. /prays for stable slots soon

That would be Lavanthor, and he is not tameable.

The Beast is the boss from Upper Blackrock Spire and he is indeed still tameable. The thread you're thinking of is a sticky in this subforum:

The Beast can be. He keeps his Boss status and skull level afterwards too (the only pet that does this).
