Blizzard trademarks 'The Dark Below'

Like I said, I don't actually expect to get them, this is all just fun speculation.

Here's screenshots of Naga in armor. I chose my favourite set. The pants and boots just wrap around the tail so it's feasible in my opinion. Helms don't work, but that wouldn't be too difficult I imagine, considering Blizzard can make them work on Tauren and Worgen.

/sigh well, maybe we'll be able to defeat Ozumat and see that raid in an Azshara expac, if they make one. I hope they do, I would love to do more dungeons like Throne of the Tides (I like the environment, not so much the actual bosses )

The first thing I thought was subterranean rather than deep ocean. Like "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" kind of things.

I also don't see them using Naga as a playable race. Even if they can wear armour, there's still so many other considerations. Other things (like mounts) that were only ever designed for bipedal humanoids. If we did get one it might be something new. Molemen?

Or kobolds! Kobolds would fit an underground theme. Racial ability [Candle Making]

They had planned a huge Nerubian area for Northrend but never finished it. It's a shame as the art for Azjol-Nerub is incredibly beautiful. Every little cavern you see off in the distance makes you wish you could go explore. It really does deserve more. Maybe this time we'll get it

Ugh, I know. I am forever disappointed at the lost potential there. The Nerubians are one of my favourite races, crossing my fingers that they revisit the concept at some point.

I know the lore in Cata says they found a whole clutch of un-undead tainted eggs and are rebuilding their empire. So I could see something like a Nerubian zone happening. That would be cool!

I'm leaning more towards a D3 expansion. I think they will announce the WOW expansion closer to Blizzcon.

Yeah, it could well be Diablo. Though... Diablo has had so many subterranean environments... wouldn't the name be a bit generic for them?

However, It is interesting that "The Dark Below" exists in WoW via Blizzard's non-canonical RPG manuals and via a brief mention with Ozumat.

Well, they trademark long in advance, but yeah, they generally announce publically the name of the WoW expansions, along with most other things at Blizzcon :3

Wooooooo with D3's title confirmed, unless Blizz is making a new game (online or otherwise), I do believe we may have our next expansion title!

Interesting find there, Evil. The fact they went out of their way to have Ra-Den mention that (not that I've ever seen him!) does suggest a lead-in to the next expansion theme.

I like it! Sounds ominous, and even though I'm not the biggest fan of water zones I've always been dying to see some of the places like Nazjatar and such. Of course I'd be even happier if it was hinting at subterranean Nerubian themes too.
