Make it both! Those Lobster guys have a city too!

To be fair I've never found any WoW expack name to be epic XD
It's better than "World of Warcraft: Where the Sun Don't Shine"

That is the adult expack

It's not as though there's been much of a cohesive theme in past titles anyhow, it seems to fit well enough in my opinion:

The Burning Crusade
Wrath of the Lich King
Cataclysm
Mists of Pandaria
The Dark Below

The previous expansions all sounded epic.

My fiance's first thoughts when he saw 'The Dark Below' was "We're fighting mole people".

Cow: When did my server's Goldshire get their own expansion?!

After looking around some more I found some other references to The Dark Below

http://www.wowwiki.com/Erudax

Also there is http://www.wowwiki.com/Ick%27thys_the_Unfathomable who yells "I laugh at you, feeble <name>, but I will oblige. Now, let us return to my master, below!"

Then there are the quests The Faceless Ones and Proof of Demise: Herald Volazj, which Kilix the Unraveler and Archmage Lan'dalock state that as the nerubians fought the Scourge, they dug deeper underground as they lost ground to the undead. "We inadvertently exposed a tendril of the old god's will, which was made manifest in the creatures known only as the Faceless.

Anub'arak's also suggests that the faceless represent a forgotten race that was buried aeons ago within the deeps of the world, of whom only myths ever reached the nerubian people. As it is now known that the nerubians are descended from the ancient aqir, the notion of a species that appears to predate both the aqir and the night elves raises many questions.

Its possible that the next expand will leads us under the surface of Azeroth into the heart of the Faceless Ones City where we will fight N'Zoth.

I dunno, I agree it does sound....weird for an expansion name? And I thought it was leading up to Burning Legion anyways. Perhaps Dark Below is a patch name for a World Event or a new raid or something? A little less likely, but still.

I do agree it probably has to do with N'Zoth. Yessssss moar Old Gods.

I must've been the only person who thought TCG pack name lol. It really doesn't sound like an expansion name to me...and if Mag is right...it's fake then. Which wouldn't surprise me...just didn't sound right.

Awe, I really hope its real though, would be awesome.

To the earlier nerubian chat, the possability of having both them and the underwater cities of the naga and maruka would be awesome. The faceless (totally forgot all about them) were first seen in WotLK, we now with Cataclysm see that the old corpse in Darkshore was a faceless (sorta-beach side too-- they might of, when the world was young, rose from the depths in some sort of uprising against the titans on command from their master), and there were (lorewise, thousands I'm sure) aquatic based faceless and even a kraken-ish one

There seems to be different species both land and water based which really makes me wonder just how many varieties lurk in the black depths, aquatic and subterranean. The best view we get of the nerubian kingdom is in Ahn'kahet which is where we first see the faceless, so, if they expand on their kingdom, we might get to discover the subterranean faceless' kingdom or spawn or er, home as theres obviously a passage the faceless are erupting from to invade the nerubian city

(eeeeeeee I love speculating SO much XD I so hope, regardless of title name, we get something like this)

And oh is it relevant. I kind of hope this is the next expansion now.
And about the hoax or not. Here's how I see it (ideally)

Blizzard Blue 1: BLAST! They've discovered our trademark for the next WoW expansion! This was supposed to be a secret!
Who was in charge of keeping this a secret?
(A single hand goes up in the meeting room, packed full of anxious employees.)
Blizzard Employee 1: Uh, I was, sir.
Blizzard Blue 1: Who's that? What's your name?
Blizzard Employee 1: Michael. M-Michael, sir.
Blizzard Blue 1: Michael, huh? You're fired! Now, what are we going to do... there was going to be a huge reveal... all ruined!
Blizzard Employee 2: If I may? I have an idea...

Two hours later

Blizzard Blue 1: Brilliant! Simply brilliant! With the domain names "Corgis Unleashed," "Just Dance 7: Deathwing's Despair" and "Brazen Blood-Elf Booties" trademarked, the fans will think "The Dark Below" is just another hoax! Situation resolved. And, uh, you. Whatever your name is-
Blizzard Employee 2: It's, uh-
Blizzard Blue 1: Shh-shh-shh. I don't need to know. You can have Michael's job.
