Okay, so I adore the writing of Borderlands 2, and I have endless respect for the writers. They embrace all sexual orientations and they bring them up without slurs, stereotypes or jokes, the female and male characters are well designed and tasteful, they almost never use stereotypes, they don't slutshame and even embrace sexual characters without judgement, and even the silly characters have many layers of characterization and development. It's absolutely brilliant, perfectly delivered, and really make the games one of a kind.

But.

I will never, ever forgive them for Bloodwing.

New patch trailer was unbearably corny... Anyways, im having a small midlife crisis and im not in my "middle age"

Aahsdklsldk I'm so bored lately. My friend came to visit for a week last month, and while she was here, we started playing Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, but she had to leave before we could finish it. This game has since been the only thing I can really think about and I want to finish it so badly, but ajdkfkeldkcksl I can't finish it without her! And unless I get lucky she probably won't be able to come and visit again for a bit. The game's important to me, but it's not so much the game that is really making me go crazy recently, as it is I'm missing the fun we had playing the game! We had way too much fun playing it together, because for some ridiculous reason we had the idea to record it with my phone's voice memo thinger, and do the voices for the characters in the game. (We jokingly called it our "beta of a let's play", since we DO plan to do FE LPs someday..) And that's what made it so fun for me, because there were a lot of times where due to us voicing them, characters would sometimes just run away with us and we'd get so caught up being in character and we'd make stupid little in-character quips at each other while I was going through the maps of the chapters (Or even when we weren't playing the game at all) and we'd occasionally -- okay more like every second sentence -- mess up reading dialogue completely and make fools of ourselves and it was so so so much fun and I miss it.

I've been driving myself crazy these past few weeks because I've been missing our stupid antics playing that game and it frustrates me so much because I want to finish this game, but it just would not feel right to do so without my friend there with me. I swear to freaking Yune, I'm going to go off the deep end here waiting. D:


...In a related rant, there was this one ship in that game that I had been all over (Heck, it's arguably the canon ship for the main character of the game. (Okay fine one of the main characters this game has more than one shush)) and had repeatedly said I loved. Then I read something on Tumblr that made me vaaaaaguely consider a different ship for said main character. ...One week later, and that new ship has completely taken over my life. AND OF COURSE IT'S A COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DOOMED SHIP. So I've been going crazy because this ship is so amazing and perfect and I love it but it's given me so many feels that I just cannot handle it and WHY GAME WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TO ME? (..For the record, that original ship that I mentioned liking is still one of my favourite ships in this game. Shush I can have two ships that I love for a character if I want to. ...Come to think of it, THAT ship gives me feels too because, of course, this game had to play the "yeah one of those characters will outlive the other by a loooooong time and there's nothing you can do about it" card. GUH.)

I'm feeling about as creative as a whitewashed wall recently. I desperately want to draw something, but every time I try, I get frustrated with the sketch and give up.

I just want to draw something nice. I have tons of things to draw, but just nothing is working out.
