That's the same problem I had. I've got a thread going on it and I emailed FR about it. I had used one scroll and nothing changed.. at all. I tried another and only his wings changed but apparently its not just me this is happening to.

She's Thistle/Mulberry/Obsidian and she'll make the perfect pair for my Rose/Leaf/Sky. There's going to be some gorgeous Black-White-Purplish PC babies with wings from the Purple-Blue-Green range. <3

I want to see what she looks like as an adult guardian first so I'll be scrolling her after she grows up, so I can save pictures of both versions <3

Since I didnt want to change my blue boy again I decided to nab a cheapish gem imp and scroll him once or twice depending on results.

this was him, pretty but certainly not my tastes.

I hate everyone's luck with scatterscrolls. I used my first one this morning on an ice egg I got that hatched into a Coral/Tangerine/Don't remmeber but it was bad. She went from that, to Banana/Orange/Leaf. I headdesked. I thought I could get a really awesome one out of it like everyone else... but nooooooo. Waste of 58k. ><
