It's the only one that's that cheap. Ungened seem to be going for 300-375. Single gened are sometimes mixed in the same price range. Double gened usually hits 500. Gembond goes as low as 450. Circuit really varries

So for a scroll that costs 400k, it now takes TWO Skydancer babies to JUST break even on ungene'd.

Not even going to bring up the cost of gene'd ones with that kinda price for babies. Probably going to be just as bad.

You have to keep in mind that the market with these guys is going to be really crazy and fluctuate a lot right now. Not to mention, most common breeds don't sell for close to what their scroll is worth either and didn't even before the market crashed.

The admins have stated that they never meant for starters to sell that high anyway, that just happened because the game was new. Though i think that even they have to admit that prices are a little too low right now.

Just remember, things with skydancers will be crazy for a while and the economy will remain messed up until they let me users in. Don't want to beat a dead horse too much.

Yeah but that's the problem :S Scrolls cost a fortune and you hardly make squat off of it. It ain't worth scrolling dragons if those who have already done it are breeding babies. Unless you have personal desires to do so and are willing to pay the money. The FR team I'm sure is happy only one breed is for gems, with current prices, they'd lose a lot of money that would fund the site if half the special breeds were gem scrolls as hardly anyone out of the population as a whole would buy them.

I want many skydancer scrolls, and am willing for said personal desires to change mah dragons, but that'll be it, I won't be buying any skydancer scrolls once the five I've picked out are scrolled

Personally i don't think special breed dragon prices should go for more than scroll prices otherwise no one would ever buy them because scrolling would be cheaper and the market would stalemate as much as it is now. It's a personal decision whether to scroll a dragon or buy a dragon in the breed and colors you want. It's called a money sink for a reason.

Oh yeah, I don't want them going for anymore than the scroll itself, but at least half would per baby would be fair imo. But once new blood is in as I think was mentioned just a handful of posts ago(?) things should become more regulated for all dragons.

In the mean time once I get the genes I need for a few of my dragons, which by then the auction house should calm down, I'll be lurking frequently

But on the other hand, I see it as an opportunity to snap up as many cheap pretty dragons as I can so when the market does recover and new users come in, then I have all these pretty dragons to make some real cash off once the market rights itself.

Yeah, basically All the pretty babies that I can snap up off the AH for basically nothing when they'd usually tear my wallet apart. But I really wish that I was able to sell hatchlings for a profit instead of being stuck trying to squabble them off to others that will buy them for any price above exaltation.

Random, but right before I sent Taarnfalk her Skydancer scroll I used it to preview my own babehs, since I'm still unsure who will be my pair (when I can afford it, of course ;;;). What do you guys think?

I can afford a scroll at the moment but haven't seen one in the Marketplace at all yet. I'm refreshing every 2 minutes if I remember. Working on fixing a laptop for my niece at the moment.

I've only seen them once, and that was when I bought Taarnfalk's scroll; when I saw them, there were 17.
